"Find meaning. Distinguish melancholy from sadness. Go out for a walk. It doesn’t have to be a romantic walk in the park, spring at its most spectacular moment, flowers and smells and outstanding poetical imagery smoothly transferring you into another world. It doesn’t have to be a walk during which you’ll have multiple life epiphanies and discover meanings no other brain ever managed to encounter. Do not be afraid of spending quality time by yourself. Find meaning or don’t find meaning but 'steal' some time and give it freely and exclusively to your own self. Opt for privacy and solitude. That doesn’t make you antisocial or cause you to reject the rest of the world. But you need to breathe. And you need to be."
B O S C A S T L E • Cornwall 🏴🇬🇧 ~ this is The Harbour Light tea rooms in Boscastle and although it looks delightful, it hides a tragic recent past. In 2004, Boscastle was devastated when a ‘once in 400 years’ storm struck. 2m tonnes of rainwater washed through the village in one day sending 150 vehicles hurtling through the village destroying many buildings as they went. One building they completely destroyed was The Harbour Light Tea Room but I’m sure you’ll agree it’s been restored beautifully. Amazingly, no one died due to a little luck and fortune but also due to our excellent emergency services who airlifted 100 people to safety.
