Singer Reimagined: Hey world, you want us to reinvent the chronograph?
The world: Yeah, whatever.
Singer Reimagined: OK! We hear ya!
Some time later
Singer Reimagined: Well here it is, we’ve called it the Track 1 and it’s got a 60 hour chronograph with seconds, minutes and hours all displayed on a single central dial, with the time shown at the six via two rotating rings for the minutes and hours. So what do you think?
The world: 😍😍😍 Oh man! That’s insane! How cool is that thing!
Singer Reimagined: 😎
It’s my birthday, so permit me on this day a little bit of self indulgence.
One of the watches that made me realise that everything I’d known before was wrong, or at best only part of the story, and a piece which actually had a huge impact on my life, as I was awakened to the world of independent watchmaking in which these amazing people live.
Discovering the Antiqua by Vianney Halter was like discovering Picasso for the first time, and indeed I still see much in common.
This astonishing and wacky perpetual calendar has always been one of my all time favourites.
Board rooms and committees simply do not sign off watches like this one and that’s why they mean so much to me.
