My favorite verses come from John 14:1-6. But this morning “don’t let your heart be troubled” rings very true. I’ve changed jobs to a full time desk job. I love my job, but my steps have lessened a lot more than I realized. I’ve gained 8 pounds since beginning my job. It’s a reality that I now have to overcome. How do I up my already low activity life? Well I started by getting up and making it a priority to hit my step average for the last week before I go to work! I will attempt to achieve this goal every week using my average from the week before. If this doesn’t help me be more active I don’t know what will. Don’t let your hearts be troubled and always remember there’s ups and downs in this journey! #fitness#fitnessjourney#stepgoals#lifegoals#fitnessgoals#weightloss#nevergiveup#neverlosefocus#keepgoing#loveyourself#lifestylechange#behealthy#taketimetorefocus#consistency
✨AYO 2 PRs ALERT✨
🥵4x20 hip thrusts @ 245 💃🏼I currently hip thrust twice a week- one day is HEAVY and the other day is moderate weight high reps (today). I’m really curious to see if I can move 400 because my heavy days have been at 4x8 @ 365 for a month now 🤔
🤑4x12,12,8,8 leg press @ 5 plates for 12 reps, 6 plates for 8 reps 💪🏼 I’ve always stuck around the 3 or 4 plate mark but for why?? So cheers to pushing myself. My hips are the inhibiting factor in this lift/handicap the full movement so I’ll need to really focus on stretching them to master the lift☠️
✏️You are stronger than you think you are! For real for real. Hype yourself up. Tell yourself you got this. Breathe every rep. Break it down mentally. I told myself that each set of hip thrusts was MAYBE 20 seconds of my day. When I got to the 11th rep (when I start struggling) I tell myself “less than ten seconds left!” And “you’re more than half way done!” Whatever you gotta do to get it done. The song playing at the gym while I recorded this set of thrusts belonged in an 80s movie (the opposite of hype) but I told myself “I move the weigh, not the song”😈
As this guy just celebrated turning 50 we wanted to take a second to brag on him. Robbie has been with us over 2 years, shows up to the gym on the regular, & never gives anything less than 100%. He runs like a gazelle, rows like he’s on a collegiate rowing team, & just brings all he’s got to every workout. You could never convince anyone that he is a day over 35. He is a prime example that age is only a number & that practicing healthy habits reap long term benefits. If you just have the will to do it, it doesn’t matter your age, it doesn’t matter your ability, you can achieve your goals! It's never too late to start taking good care of yourself, even as you get older. #fitness#qualityoflife#health#wellness#fitnessjourney#goals#motivation#inspiration#crossfit#bootcamp#fitfam#consistency#accountability#commitment#hardwork

HI PEEPS 👋🏼❤️
Yesterday was my first day back to the gym in 24 days 😮 Honestly, school completely took over my life lol I couldn’t effectively time manage to make it to the gym... but it was a good lil’ break! We all need it sometimes 😊 Feeling like a shrimp but it’s okiee!
Can’t wait for the holidays to begin 💚⛄️🎄 and crush some goals right through the new year!

I love hard and deep.
I'm patient and kind
Take very long to leave..
But once I do... Your wind and my breathe will never cross paths. 🌴

One of the things my mother and I emphasize is to celebrate all of the NON-scale victories! Are you sleeping better? Do you feel better? Are your clothes fitting better? Do you feel stronger? Do you feel more confident? Did you make it to the gym the amount of times you said you would? Are you making better food choices? Are you speaking to yourself more kindly? ETC..
Do you celebrate these VICTORIES?
We need to start CLAPPING for ourselves when we have small victories. Celebrate ourselves when no one else is. .
Become your biggest fan 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! .
#transformationtuesday On the left is me in the spring of 2009...literally squeezed into a normal sized chair. This was the reality of my body before losing 200 pounds. Yesterday I tried on a sweater that I ordered and ultimately decided to send back as it’s a bit too tight for what I intended it to be...but let’s be honest, while I’ve got some hefty curves in my thighs and hips I can’t get over the fact that my jeans have a single digit on them...and that I also have an actual waist and a neck with visible collar bones. The days of squeezing my butt into chairs only to have my torso pour over the sides like that are long gone. Never going back, which is why I am looking back.

Throwy to last year 10 days out from my last show around 53kgs squatting 100kg, for a total of 10 reps across 3 sets🙈💁🏽♀️🏋🏽♀️.
For me training for strength and performance is far more satisfying then just training purely for aesthetic goals. May sound quite contradictive, as I compete as a bikini competitive, but feeling strong, and challenging myself within my training is why I love training the most! .
You can still get strong whilst getting lean, but this will come down to how hard you are willing to work, how strong you are mentally during your sessions, recovery being a priority, strategic programming @protein_and_chemicals thank you! And for me also the constant reminder that I wanted to maintain my glutes as I got real lean and little haha no lie 😂😂🙈🍑 #leanandstrong#gameon

This is the difference between the rich and the average! The one thing that I love is, the rich say 'how do I afford that?' and figure a way to make it work!
Don’t stop when you are tired, stop when you are done! Believe me I was exhausted after the first Comp, but knew I had to keep pushing , I’m proud that I did but now it’s time to start to balance my body and mind. Recover, reset and recuperate , work hard on my weaknesses to make them my strengths and return next year a ‘better me’ . 💪💛
