Anyone else totally relate to this quote?❤️ This month especially I've really learnt and seen just how consistency can really have such a massive impact on how we live our lives and how we are effected mentally and emotionally too 🙌 I have to give the credit to @kirstydeeshares for this though because if it weren't for #SelfLoveTember I wouldn't have discovered this. Since being consistent with making goals lists before bed, doing my gratitude practices and all the law of attraction, self love and spiritual fun stuff I have been so much more motivated, proactive and so much more organised, happier and so much more present and at peace 💞 I really do believe consistency is the key and im soooo grateful for this lesson and blessing✨❤️

Fresh graduated taper cut, then I added in extensions for volume and length!!! Two stand twist, rods and comb curls are the methods I use and we did a three today! Things I kind of suck at: push jerk, snatch and overhead squat. What do they all have in common? They’ve caused me a great deal of pain due of ongoing shoulder issues. My physio recently told me I can get back to regular training but my confidence is a bit shaken. I could choose to share only the good (PRs, perfect technique and flexy photos) but that’s not me. I LOVE training and I want to get better at these things. But it’s an extremely frustrating process and I get down about my lack of progress sometimes. At these times, I try to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Perspective:
Five months ago, I was dealing with a pretty serious ankle sprain and stuck in an air cast.
Three months ago, I couldn’t lift a 35lb bar over my head most days due to a bicep injury.
A month ago, I wasn’t even allowed to perform Olympic lifts.
So maybe I’m not where I want to be but I’ve been working hard and I’ll get there.
Last Monday I completed an 8 week Lifting + HIIT program.
Working out only 4 days a week for 30-40 min a day. Following a healthy BUT relaxed nutrition plan, not restricting myself from my favorite foods (like wine + pizza) and STILL reaching my goals!
Going into this I wanted to maintain my weight, increase strength by upping my weights and challenge myself in my strong dislike for HIIT.
Mission Accomplished 💪🏼
Not stopping there, I’ve decided to do it again!

DAY 50 and I’m hurting, which is a little disappointing. One of my hopes for this practice challenge was that the baby-bite consistency with no pressure to perform would yield pain-free playing. Not so. The good news is, I’ve committed to practice for fifty more days! Which means fifty more days to observe, adjust, and remember all the things that have helped so far:
1. Prescriptions of light-fingered scales from @merzi04 (see above).
2. The relentless coaching of a fine friend and teacher, the late John Englund.
5. Filming myself and noticing new/old oddities (speaking of which, it seems my spine is tilting to the right 👆🏻🧐). Any further tips and observations are 100% welcome. Here’s to the next fifty and beyond.

Let’s talk about weight loss and losing bodyfat...belly fat specifically.🗣 .
First...I used NO SUPPLEMENTS during my shred. That was intentional. Having used supplements in the past, I needed to perfect my shred method naturally with a clean result and as a trainer be able to duplicate this result in others. I also needed to see how long it would take and how effectively I could create my desired physique with just CLEAN EATING. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the results.🙌🏽 I began this shred because I wanted defined abs which meant I had to drop my bodyfat%. This was a combination of effective consistent cardio, clean eating and eating at a caloric deficit. I also incorporated one day of HIIT cardio per week to speed up the BF loss process. All BS aside...any quick method to drop bodyfat will not be a healthy one so don’t believe the hype. It takes time & patience to achieve this type of physique...especially if your goal is to maintain it...not just get a quick result.😉
You also have to lift weights consistently throughout this process to maintain muscle mass. Why? As you drop BF you will lose weight as part of the process. You will lose your muscle too if you stop weight training because your body will think you no longer need it. I cut back on my lifting during my shred and as you can see I am lean & shredded now instead of thick & juicy like back in May. Lol. But most importantly I am healthy & happy in both pics.☺️ .

#TransformationTuesday‼️ On the left- unhappy with what I would see in the
mirror. All the fast food, and unhealthy habits were making everything worst. I was a #skinnyfat girl - someone with high levels of body fat and low levels of lean muscles. My body eventually was going to get worst, boyyy that was a fact 🤣 But Thanks GOD 🙏🏻 Herbalife found me!
