Swipe for the before- I love when a client comes in with pre existing blonde and I can turn it into the most beautiful, rich color melt. We wanted to give her hair a rest from the bleach and also give it some dimension. For her base I used Kenra 5VR and melted that into 6RR for her mids and ends🔥🔥🔥
I have been meaning to start posting more of these to show clients natural hair BEFORE hair extensions then BEFORE we reapplied at the second push-up. The health and integrity of her hair 💯
And of course ✋🏻 @olaplex
Modern, Partial Highlight. Because who does a partial highlight anymore and leaves the whole bottom half out (sorry if you still do). Let’s talk about it. Client prior, did not want to cancel her appointment (booked: creative color; bleach base to ends and creative colors) because of some unfortunate (fortunate 😉) circumstance. Budget being the wall. We chatted about keeping the appointment, but shortening it to get her by with a modern partial highlight. Because I am totally down with that!!! I understand things happen in life.
Let me talk to you about my modern partial highlight, back to back foils around the face and nape hairline, Mohawk sectioning down her part all the way back to her crown.
Mind you, her ends were already previously lightened. She had months of a grow out. Toned her and gave her a nice little trim.
I really enjoy things like like this because A) I fucking love doing hair B) she was super happy with results of a modern partial highlight And well so am I. 🖤 #candicecrazyhands@pulpriothair@brazilianbondbuilder@redken@bioionic@framar#bioionic#b3brazilianbondbuilder#framarbrushes#foilyage#modernpartialhighlight#blondaf#blondetourage
Transformation tuesday😯 We wanted change but not alot of up keep. I went in with @keratincomplex 5n/5g to darken her base...then a full head of #teasylights w/ @pulpriothair 20 vol focusing more around the face. Toned at the sink and styled up w/ the ever so amazing @lomahaircare line💕
Smokey vibes. 🔮🌫 I’m honestly not even sure what we did here😅. Jen told me to have fun and she was ready for a change. She is going to be moving back home and will be starting med school; so stoked to have met this bad ass babe and so sad she’s leaving me. Wishing you all the best! (Swipe right for before). ☓ Full melt on damp hair using @redken SEQ.
☓ Two glosses at the bowl.
☓ Sealed in color with @biolage Acidic milk rinse.
☓ softened her hair grow out and removed weight.
☓ Styled and waved ✌🏼.
Transformed this 2 year grow out on my long time client who I've known since the beginning of my hairstyling career. She waited until I came back from mat leave. How sweet 💕
I used @ultrabondseal on all formulas and toned with @kenraprofessional metallic series.
Today’s tip: If I am looking to avoid warmth in the transition area I do NOT brush my lightener into my root melt. My thought process: when you paint over the melt, you slow your lightener down. You could end up with a warm area because that lightener is trying to get through the color first and therefore won’t process at the same speed as the ends. This is just what works for me. Every stylist has their own way.. find your way and kill it! 🙌🏼 @hairmeroar
Brighten and Blend....
Besides the fact that it’s a little brassy and needs a trim ✂️ I’d say it looks pretty good for 9 months of grow out. •
Now for everyone who says a client won’t sit for several hours or pay 💰 “X” amount of dollars this is the perfect example. What if you told them that it would be 6 months to 1 year before they needed to retouch. Do you think 🤔 they would do it then? I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️ about you guys but my time is valuable to me.
Let me pose 2 options and you can choose
Option 1️⃣ is to come in every 6 weeks for approximately 2 hours and pay 200$
Option 2️⃣ Come in every 24 weeks for approximately 6 hours and pay 💰 600$
If you chose option 2 you just saved 2 hours and 200$. In this particular situation my client went almost 36 weeks with one ☝🏼 Maintenance appointment In between.
I always consider future maintenance which I also discuss with the client before any lengthy service or before making a major change. •
Just FYI these are not my prices and I do not charge hourly so this is just an example. •
