Have you ever received a letter like this at random from an insurance agency that is not your current insurer?
While this can be a good strategy for getting people to pick up the phone and call you, they are usually quite inaccurate.
A client sent this over and I wanted to point out what to look for and why I, as well as our agency, do not use this marketing tactic. It is full of inaccuracies. #1 They are only quoting off public information for your address so your personal details, which factor into the premium, are not used.
#2 They have policy deductible listed at $1,000. While this can be true for your All Other Perils Deductibles, and is true for some Texas carriers, the Wind Hail Deductible is ALMOST always different in the state of Colorado. Especially in the Denver metro area. Many carriers are at $2,500 minimum or a 1% of your dwelling coverage limit.
#3 These quotes also generally offer discounts that they don’t event know if you qualify for. On this one, they are offering Claim Free, Home/Auto Bundle, and Protective Device(s). The Home/Auto Bundle only qualifies if they are bundled with the same carrier, not within the agency. This is generally a significant discount. While I try to package auto and home for my clients, sometimes separate carriers come back with the best rates or I can’t beat the current auto carrier.
#4 They don’t specify which carrier the quote came from.
My point being, don’t run and cancel your current insurance thinking you will bind a policy for this rate. This is a tactic to get you in the door and will most likely increase once your specific information is actually quoted.
I want to inform my clients and earn business the old fashion way. Providing the most accurate quotes I can and not start a client relationship with the disappointment of an instant increase in rate.
The more you know! 😉
🏠🏡🏢🏘 The relationships I build with lenders are so important to me. There is so much going on trying to get a home to closing and if I can make one of those steps as simple as possible, I have done my job for my mortgage partners.
My goal with lender relationships is to build trust knowing that their clients are in good hands with a knowledgeable, brokered, agent that has their best interest at heart.
I understand the importance of timely responses, DTI, and quick turnaround on binders to get the insurance requirements met so you can move on to other file requirements.
The relationship with @mortgagesbychristine blended into a friendship and I have been able to learn that she really puts her clients first. Patience and knowledge are two of her traits that show through immediately.
When you partner with likeminded individuals, the client experience can easily go above and beyond expectations.
While lenders can give recommendations, the choice is yours. But, they generally give those recommendations for a reason. A SMOOTH HOME BUYING EXPERIENCE WHILE GETTING YOU COVERAGE FROM AN AGENT WHO PUTS CLIENTS FIRST.
If you are looking to buy a new home, refinance, or take the next step on an investment property, reach out to @mortgagesbychristine
then give me a shout and we will get you taken care of!
Alrighty, it is time to get this Instagram going! I wanted to start off by telling you a bit about myself, experience, what I offer as an agent, and let you know how I plan to use this IG!
I started my insurance agent career in Texas in 2006 working for Farmers Insurance. In 2013 our agency went from the captive market (meaning agents have one option) to the brokered market (several options). Since that change I have seen that having options for my client(s) is the only type of agent I want to be! The fact that we only work with A Rated carriers sets the standard for the protection we want to provide to our clients.
I moved to Colorado in September of 2017 and married my husband in May of this year. My husband is a native of Colorado and I quickly fell in love with this state. However, I have a deep love of my previous home, Austin, Texas.
Because I have friends, family, contacts, etc. in both states, I am happy to be licensed in both Texas and Colorado! I am also able to provide both personal lines and commercial insurance. Think pretty much anything except health insurance.
On this page I will share insurance tips, knowledge, and carrier information while sharing some insights into my personal life.
Motos, museums, cocktails, friends, small businesses and great things we enjoy in both Colorado and Texas!
If you are interested in connecting, getting a quote, partnering to provide FANTASTIC service to your clients, do not hesitate to reach out!
Travelers is a company I have been working with in Texas for several years and recently became appointed to sell their product here in Colorado!
Their home product is fantastic!
I received an email this morning with Winter Home Maintenance tips and I wanted to share a few. Texas may not get as cold as Colorado, but some of these are helpful for my clients in Texas as well! * Keep an eye on your fuel tank levels throughout the winter season. * Add extra insulation in your attic and add weather stripping around doors and windows to guard against drafts and heat loss. * Learn how to shut off your water and know where your pipes are located in case they do freeze. Knowing this may prevent water damage to your home.
Just a few pointers to start off your week!
Now that we are through the holidays, I plan to post on a more regular basis so be sure you follow this IG and tell your friends!
