Created in 1915 by Hainanese bartender Ngiam Tong Boon, to resemble fruit punch. Back then, etiquette dictated that ladies could not consume alcohol in public so he created a cocktail, masking it with a pink rosy hue to lead people into thinking it was fruit punch.

MONIN Cup National Finalist
1 1/2 oz Blanco tequila
1/2 oz Cointreau
3/4 oz Simple syrup
1/2 oz Fresh lime juice
1/2 oz Fresh orange juice
1/4 oz Fresh lemon juice
Rub outside rim of cocktail glass with lime wedge to moisten; roll in salt to coat rim of glass. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into cocktail glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish as desired.
