I love #exercises that hit #multiple#muscle groups. A not so simple but #fun & #challenging move is the #stability#ball#legcurl . This exercise engages your #core and #lowerbody making it #awesome for somebody in my profession! Fun fact? The only equipment you need is a yoga ball! Even better? Once it becomes too easy for you you can do it single legged or add weights! And absolutely best part?? Since you're working your lower body you're engaging your largest muscle groups therefore it's a great set to add to your work out routine for #weightloss !!! 🤯🤗🤑
Last night, 3 of our @xcmma members competed in amateur boxing matches for #fightsoffury4 at the Westgate Hotel. We went 2-1 for the evening.
Matt fought his debut fight against a tough opponent who took some good shots but wouldn’t back down. I stepped in to Matt’s corner at the last minute but was glad to help out one of our members. He ended up taking a decision win.
Lincoln fought a hell of a fight against a heavy hitter like himself in his debut. They fought a hard-hitting, entertaining fight. Lincoln ended up losing a decision, but it was a great experience for him. It gives him a clear idea of what he needs to work on in the gym, and I have no doubt he’ll learn and be better from this. Lincoln is a consistent trainee in the gym as well as a member of our MVP program, and is a lot of fun to work with. I’m very proud of all of his hard work and proud to stand in his corner.
LeAnn fought in the main event of the evening. We’ve been on this path for quite some time together. Since she started competing last year, it has been a bit of a rocky start. We were on the wrong end of a bad decision last year in her debut, and then there was that whole fiasco with driving out to Salinas, CA for a fight only to have her opponent no-show. She kept at it, we kept working, kept tweaking the program, kept adjusting the diet. After all was said and done, LeAnn took the fight to her opponent out the gate and didn’t let up from start to finish, taking home a unanimous decision and a new belt. I’m very happy she finally gets to enjoy the victory she put so much consistency, effort, and time in to earn. I’m very proud of and grateful for all of her consistency, effort, hard work, trust and friendship through this process.
Big thanks to Danny, Clint and Justin for working the corner as well. Always a pleasure getting to do stuff like this with you guys!
