A #Saigon scene, I came upon as I left our hotel, tucked away in one of the narrow passageways that connect more major thoroughfares in District One. I don’t know what this man was waiting for, but if it was a gap in the traffic he will still be waiting #madsea19#nnmsebabesia
We’re hitting the road at the crack of dawn tomorrow and heading to North Carolina for a couple of fun projects! Anyone have recs for Winston-Salem and Greensboro? Would love to hear them!
Also, this teddy coat from @andotherstories is super warm (and getting me through this horrible weather 🤦🏾♀️) Get outfit details via the link in my bio, or with the @liketoknow.it app! #liketkit 📷 by @foodphotographer

Today we took a tour of St Louis Cemetery No 1 as that’s the only way to see this particular cemetery now. It was actually a really interesting tour and include the tomb of Marie Laveau (not pictured) and Nicholas Cage’s pyramid (pic 3). Crazy to see how much many have sunk!⭐️⭐️ #neworleans#louisiana#visitneworleans#cemetery

"Learn to say ‘no’ to the good so you can say ‘yes’ to the best."
John C. Maxwell
I spent the first 5 years of my twenties absolutely terrified of food. A few walnuts were a treat reserved for Sunday mornings. It would take me 3 days to finish a pear. I judged every single person who took a bite of bread. I looked in the mirror and saw extra pounds, not believing that everyone else saw an emaciated young woman. I often felt depleted, physically and emotionally, because it’s not just your body that needs sustenance, your mood is hugely affected too. When I moved to Italy my perspective shifted completely. I realized that while in Manhattan it might be normal to sustain yourself on celery juice for 15 hours, it was bizarre and literally impossible behavior in Italy. Italians eat well, they eat fresh, and they eat balanced diets. They eat because it’s a part of their culture, because their ingredients are so amazing they deserve to be the center of the conversation all day long, and because meals bring friends and family together. Being back in the states I am of course excited to be reunited with fab vegetable juices, but I am also eating for my mood. Certain foods feed your muscles, others your brain, others your bones.... etc, and when everything is aligned you feel great inside. It’s pretty simple...When you can make it through bootcamp feeling fierce every single minute, you’re on top of the world. This morning I went to a hot yoga class where every single girl had a body- a muscular, fit, REAL body. And I thought, how fucking cool. All these girls feel great right now. That’s fabulous.
