I’ve been told by a few people that since I completed my 58 x 10ks in 58 days that I haven’t posted much and they have been interested in what I am doing, for which I am surprised but very humbled that my challenge got that much attention..... so firstly thank you all for following my challenge I really did appreciate it 🙏 An update on the money raised for @the_bhf which is currently at around £7500.00 👏👏👏 and still not all in so I will let you know the total very soon. I’ve said before that the support that I have received has been overwhelming, challenges are just that ‘a challenge’ and to have so much support just proves how wonderful everyone is 😍......so onto what I have been up to 🙄..... I have tried to run at least 3 times a week which is going ok. I have set 2 new PBs....
5k is now 20.52
10k is now 46.05 👍I am going to train through the summer and hopefully enter a marathon at the end of the year ( my first ever)and yet to be decided where.... around November time so anyone who knows a good marathon event around that time please let me know. 400m again at training tonight, but this time with 200m walking recovery. I was in a little group of 4 and we did the whole thing together, until the last 50m where we raced each other, much to the amusement of the coach lol. Did 6 sets including the warm up lap (totally counts) and I managed to run all of the laps without stopping to walk! So much to shout about this #medalmonday but let’s start Sam and Francis who completed the 37 mile Old County Tops Fell Race, an epic event taking in the tops of Helvellyn, Scafell Pike and Coniston in over 10,000 feet of climbing, where simply to beat the challenging cut-off times is a huge achievement in itself and all self led with a GPS ban! What an achievement 👏🏻 well done guys, you are absolute legends!

The herd cooling down last Monday after another fab efforts session with Paul Evans. Lots of us are starting to see the benefits of the regular Monday effort sessions but we also have an easy run option for anyone who wants a gentler run 👍

After a lot of soul searching I left my running club a few weeks ago. It feels like a weight has been lifted. However I’m lucky that I’ve now found my tribe 🦊. I’ve been running with @micheleshapland for the past 5 years. We actually met at our old club
It’s great to have friends in your life that are there in the background. Where there’s no drama but you know they are loyal and would be there for you at the drop of a hat. .
We even saw a fox whilst out running tonight 🦊
Wednesday night means club training night 🙌. It was a tough session tonight inspired by the fact it’s Bramhall Runners 7th birthday this week so it was 7 hills for 7 minutes around Bramhall Park (yes it hurt 😬, but that good kind of pain 🤔)
Running club has definitely helped improve my confidence in my running and in me generally, I put off joining a club for ages as I was nervous and scared about turning up on my own (due to a lack of confidence)...finally pushing myself to do it has been the best decision ever!! Thought it was worth a mention with it being #mentalhealthawarenessweek as joining a club and running in general has helped me massively 😄

Wednesday night means club training night 🙌😄 8 x 800m loops with 2 mins rest in between, going at 5k pace or just under.
Wasn’t sure how it was going to go as I went to the club strength and conditioning session on Monday and I have been so sore, especially today😬, it was a saturation test session on Monday...amazing strength training but wow I’ve never felt so sore!!
Anyway the legs got going in the end and think it helped to loosen them up a bit 👍🏻, and it was such a beautiful evening to be running out in the park with everyone, love a club night session 😄

Wednesday club night, yay! .
Very excited to pick up my club vest tonight which I’ll be running in on Sunday for the first time, thought I’d best check it out for size, love how it almost matches the colour of my watch strap 🤣
Threshold Run tonight, 2 miles easy, followed by 2 x 10 min 10k/half marathon pace, 1 min active recovery inbetween then 2 miles easy 🏃♀️
Great session for my last proper one before Sunday’s half....I’ll do a very easy short run or 2 to keep my legs going but not tire them out but that’s it!
UCI Steve Scott Invitational and CSUF Twilight Invite complete. .
. @hokalani took on the steeplechase one last time at Steve Scott to cap off his extraordinary season. A late comer to the Cardio Cartel but the man set the world on fire. There aren’t enough words to describe this legend’s battles throughout his 2019 track campaign. He is as he always states; the GOAT 🐐 .
. @nonsupermario took on a last second 5k at Steve Scott and took on one more 800m at Twilight Invite. .
With only one week left to go for the Cardio Cartel, our last few warriors will take on their final challenges to put a pin in this season. It’s been a ride for everyone individually, but we never forget that we are all one team. This...this is not the ENDGAME. .
