Living coral 👌. This is such a sweet spring/summer coat. I picked it up in Brighton at a charity shop while wandering on a sunny day with a dear friend, so it's hard to part with it but my minimum wage job is not supporting my lifestyle of wanting to live in the world and eat healthy and also pay rent ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so I'm planting my magic side hustle beans and hoping they'll pull through and grow me a magic beanstalk 🙏. Please also invest your money in actual charity instead, that's much more useful and urgent of course I'm not really that sad just a bit sad and shameless.
Last year I photographed and styled this editorial for Oxfam's Fashion Blog. @oxfamgb@oxfamonlineshop
I wanted to physically show how you can look stylish and convey the latest trends wearing second-hand items. Every outfit I used in the shoot comes in at under £10. Ten pounds! A tenner! For everything! 💰
I was inspired by my favourite stylist, the thrifty legend that is @baygarnett (check out this years Oxfam Fashion Show feat. Lottie Moss, Daisy Lowe and more 😍) Bay always mixes designer items with charity shop finds in her work, the results being🔥🔥 I've never subscribed to the idea that loving fashion means you have to spend big in order to look good, or that you have to wear designer labels head to toe.
My favourite buy of the shoot was either the leopard print dress - £8 !!! Or 100% silk champagne dress £5 (!!!!!!!) Both are such bargains I can't possibly pick (don't make me.) 😊 As if you needed another reason to head to your local charity shop, know that they're doing wonders for the environment - they divert an average of 30 tonnes of textiles from landfills every year. UK shops 'reuse and recycle' activity helps reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 6.8m tonnes per year.🌍 So basically, get (second-life) shopping now.

I think tonight is going to consist of watching @brits that was recorded t'other day, drinking brews and #crocheting 📺☕ This weekend I intend to get rid of some stuff that might be of more purpose to someone else, so it's going to be #charityshop or #ebay for things that I haven't used since I moved house... In April last year 🏡😳 Anyone else got anything as riviting as me planned?
Things have been pretty busy here at the Wakefield shop, when checking our stock tracking sheets I saw that over the last 3 days just under 1000 items have been put out for sale. Over these few days there has only been myself and one volunteer working in the shop, without the help of the volunteer on each of these days a great majority of these items wouldn't have gone out for sale. The purpose of my post is to say a huge thank you to my Wednesday and Thursday volunteer Gary O'Brien and my Friday volunteer Donald Gaunt, I am beyond grateful for all of the help they continue to provide, I would like to say another huge thank you to each and every person that donates to us here at the SVP, without your help we wouldn't be able to do the things that we do ❤️❤️❤️ #charity#charityretail#svp#retail#volunteering#wakefield#westyorkshire#saintvincents#donations#newinstagram#charityshop#charityshopfind#charityshopping#thankful#appreciationpost

@calyanwaxco is a Texas based candle company that makes all natural soy wax candles.
Their candles are infused with essential oils and they use vessels that are designed to fit any decor.
To top it off, they also give back a portion of their revenue to a local nonprofit that is helping young survivors of human trafficking experience hope and healing.
In their own words, “This is the reason we exist. We want to give back to support this work. We currently partner with a nonprofit called @traffick911. They are incredible. We cannot speak highly enough about what they do.”
Also, they will be At the Silos THIS spring! 👏🏻 @joannagaines@magnolia (📷 @calyanwaxco) #theKINDLY
Living my best Pat Butcher life right now.
I haven’t had much opportunity to rummage in charity shops lately but I had a fleeting visit on Tuesday and found a few banging bargains.
No rummaging needed, I popped into @britishredcross and instantly spotted this coat which for the princely sum of £2.50 I couldn’t say no to it.
It’s a bit like Marmite, I love it, my husband hates it.
Do I care? No!
The dress was also snapped up in that trip from @cr_uk Its a simple shift but the embroidered Peter Pan collar really sold it to me.
Perfect for work, super comfy and it’s not too fitted (it’s a size up) so perfect for those super cake eating days, and biscuit craving days and chocolate days and well you get the picture.
Yup that’s my husband’s drill set still on the floor...it looks like it’s there for life now!
