Today I gave myself permission to not have a plan.
So I took my waking seriously. It was slow. My stretches were slow.
My mind was slow.
I walked without a plan, over cobblestones. I took in everything. The colors. The sounds. I observed my reactions.
In fact, I felt unsettled because a lot has changed in this town I called home for close to 5 years.
Of course it changed!
I changed too!
So I had a smoothie for breakfast and continued my stroll. I drank coconut juice and talked to different people in passing. I visited old spots and reconnected with shop owners and Blue's vet. It felt so nice to be remembered.
Isn't that we all desire?
To be seen, validated, remembered, and reminded that we matter is an essential component of thriving as a human.
We don't have to be told we are special.
But, to feel someone else being present with your presence is powerful.
In a world that has become more disconnected than connected- even with technology and social media- I value small moments.
Saying good morning to someone who passes me on the street.
Sharing a smile when there is eye contact.
Reminding someone of a special moment.
Offering and accepting a hug.
And, taking the next two weeks to not have a plan. To be as present as possible in each situation. Perhaps in those moments, I will come to understand the subtle gifts being offered on this journey.
I am often called to be of service, and that is how I choose to live my life. However, sometimes being of service does not require a lot of action. It is simple. It is meaningful. It is authentic.
I want to give myself the freedom to express and receive.
I want the whole world to be a field of wildflowers
Isn't that what we are? .
On your journey, it is very important that you find purpose and passion within yourself. You identify who you are and what you are capable of and you move forward to a life of success and happiness.
You focus on the life you want to live and start doing the things that you want to do based on who you are and what you really want to be doing.
You may not be able to dive right in, but small steps and hardwork will get you in the right direction to being happy with who you are and where you are in life.
You may not know what that looks like right now, but that is okay. You are allowed to look and find yourself; whether you lost yourself or you never knew who you were, you can still find the you, you were meant to be.
For those moments in which you feel like giving up.. remember WHY you started. I constantly remind myself why - why do I do what I do? What drives me to keep going? Not all moments are perfect and easy.. when they are difficult it's because the universe is asking you, how bad do you really want it? And it's OK to fall, it's OK to take a step aside, but don't stop going for what truly sets your soul on fire 👊 because #goals .

Do you have anxiety regularly because you aren’t taking action on something that you know you need to be taking action on?
Today I was asked to speak live in a group about how joining a challenge group has changed my life, what an honor it is to share my story. I happily call myself a #hearthealthwarrior because this for me is all about being HEALTHY, and of course happy.
What began as a weight loss journey was catapulted into so much more due to the sudden loss of my Mother after completing successfully my first challenge. This was not only the positive outlet I needed (because picking up cigarettes and drinking BOTH crossed my mind) but it provided a sense of community I desperately needed. I made the choice to not put my energy into bad habits that would lead to me losing myself, and instead pour myself into something that would build me up and help me grow.
This opportunity has helped me lose weight (80lbs!), it has brought incredible women into my life I am proud to call friends (who I’d otherwise have never met), it’s provided my family with INCOME!!! it has provided me a positive outlet during difficult times, it has provided me with a newfound sense of purpose and passion. The question seems to be, what has this opportunity NOT done for me, seriously.
Now think about you and your life and ask yourself, what could this opportunity do for YOU? what could additional income do for you? What could a positive outlet do? A strong sense of community and support? What about having accountability in helping you reach your goals and be the best version of yourself? MUSCLE GAIN AND FAT LOSS FOODS -
Depending on your goals, whether you're trying to gain muscle or lose fat, there are specific foods for each goal that can help you hit those calorie numbers right. -
For fat loss, you want to mainly stick to micro nutrient dense, high volume foods. Things like watermelon, strawberries and raspberries are all great fruits that you can eat a lot of without too many calories. The same can be said for the other foods.
For muscle building foods, high calorie foods can be really helpful. That's why things like coconut and olive oil are in there. It's a very easy way to get more fat in. Also, good high calorie foods with good carbs are bananas and granola. And on top of good fat sources, peanut butter, almonds and avocados are great additions to throw in for more calories.
Choosing the right foods depending on your goals can make things a lot easier. -
