Today was the last day of my Hydrate & Chill challenge group and GUYS IM SO PROUD OF ALL MY LADIES! 😭⠀
They killed it this week and made some awesome progress in taking care of themselves first! ⠀
Because don’t forget y’all -self care isn’t selfish, it’s a necessity. 💕⠀
I wrapped up my week with these ladies by speaking to them in a live video about why challenge groups/online accountability groups/bootcamps are so valuable to me and why this format of accountability has been game changing in my health and fitness. ⠀
But you guys, whether we call it a challenge group...⠀
or an accountability group...⠀
or a bootcamp...⠀
or something else entirely - the concept of a group of like minded people coming together with the intention of working hard, encouraging one another and supporting one another through a shared experience is amazing. ⠀
And the fact that we get to do it online is even more amazing because it removes limitations on where you have to be or what time you have to be there and allows you the freedom to work on your health and fitness in the comfort of your own home and flexibility to do it within the schedule that works for you. ⠀
And y’all...I’ve got some amazing news. If you’ve been watching, wondering and thinking “Hm...maybe an online health and fitness accountability group could work for me.” then you’re in luck! ⠀

Real talk…..it’s been almost 5 years since I signed up to be a Beachbody Coach. This past Friday I attended a Super Friday event and was able to meet with my team. ♥️ it was just the reconnection I needed.
BUT it’s been over 30 years that I have needed the accountability for myself when it comes to health and nutrition. 👊🏻 You see when I was in high school, I was so active in sports I never really had to worry about it. I remember my first year at college, I immediately joined an exercise class but it became so hard to keep up with because of my “adult” life responsibilities. It seemed that health and nutrition took the back burner. 🏫
Fast forward several years, and that was the time I joined Weight Watchers for first time, after having my first daughter. I knew I NEEDED the accountability. Something about having to check in with others and be accountable for my meal tracking and weight, and before long I was a life time member. 🙋🏼♀️ The accountability WORKS! I know it does. 👊🏻👊🏻 WHY am I telling you all of that???? Well, I’m telling you because here I am 30 years later, and I still NEED the accountability. 👍🏻 And guess what??? Now it’s SUPER FUN because I get to help COACH these amazing Accountability groups (aka Challenge Groups) for others. We make it fun, we motivate each other, we hold each other accountable, we support each other and are there for each other. This PROCESS really works!🎉🎉 Our last group has lost over 150 lbs and gained a lot knowledge and support to help them be successful. This year alone I have already helped 30 people work on their health and fitness goals. ✅

My goal my whole life was to lose weight!! I was over 300lbs, made fun of, tossed around, called the cow, I was embarrassed as a child!! This mindset I had about my weight was “WHY can’t I be skinny like my friends?” They would like be better if I didn’t carry so much weight 🤢 yuck can’t even believe I am saying that but that was my thinking. I just wanted to fit in. .
SO when I joined a challenge group **proven to lose weight** I was just going in as a last resort because I tried EVERYTHING!!! I was killing myself with diet pills and my boyfriend said you take another we’re done!!! So I needed something and just went for a 30 day challenge🤷♀️
The first week was prep week we learned all about what foods to get rid of, how to read an ingredient label (not the calories the LIST of foods in it), portion control eating and moderation, most importantly BALANCE!!! We learned how to create a healthy lifestyle.💕
The following week we started our in home workouts (never done that before) but what they heck they worked for my HS friend. After 4 days I already started to feel different. Eating 6 small meals a day, drinking half my body weight in water, still enjoying some treats, it just overall felt good and I looked forward to the next day. I could workout when I wanted where I wanted didn’t even need a babysitter. I got to log my workouts in the group and rate my day && the responses I got were pure encouragement!!!
The impact a support group had on my life didn’t just help me lose the weight I wanted. It helped me get my LIFE back. It helped me gain confidence, muscles, look fit, feel healthy, put a smile on my face, related to these incredible women!!!!
It doesn’t happen overnight, it doesn’t happen by taking the easy way out! It’s a struggle everyday but look what happens when you believe that you are capable of anything!!

🔥SWAP OUT THESE FAKE HEALTH FOODS🔥
There are a bunch of foods out there that have always been considered good for you or “health foods” and it couldn’t be further from the truth.
In small amounts the foods are not bad, but I would suggest making the switch for the long term.
It’s pretty simple here, EAT MORE REAL FOOD. Not things that have names that sound like real food. It truly is a marketing ploy. -
Real foods usually are less calories and more nutrient dense. You will be able to eat way more of most of the swaps on this list! Be careful on how you prepare them though. -

It wasn’t that long ago I felt exhausted, so tired, so worn down. I couldn’t possibly fit one more thing into my ridiculously busy schedule...
But I had to try. I knew I couldn’t keep doing the same things over and over and expecting them to change. So I said yes. Sounds simple right?
I said yes to my future. I joined my first ever coaching group and it forever changed my life. I said yes to community. I said yes to a positive impact on my health, my family and those closest to me. I said yes to opportunity and trying new things.
Was it scary? Yes. Did I think I would fail? Absolutely. Was I sure it was for me? Nope. But I got to the point where I said “Ah what the hell, what’s the worst that could happen?” and gave it a shot! As you can see, things didn’t turn out too terrible for me. 😉
What’s stopping you from saying YES?
Easy Baked Ginger Sesame Wings
Ingredients: -1-1.5 lbs chicken wings
-salt and pepper
-1/2 cup coco aminos
-1/2 Tablespoon freshly grated ginger
-1 Teaspoon minced garlic
-a pinch of red pepper flakes
-1 Teaspoon sesame oil
-1 Teaspoon rice vinegar
-1 Tablespoon arrowroot powder
-Freshly chopped cilantro
1. Preheat oven to 400.
2. Line cookie sheet with foil and place wire rack on top.
3. Place wings on top of wire rack and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
4. Bake for 20 minutes and then remove and flip over, sprinkling the other side with salt and pepper.
5. Place chicken back in oven for an additional 15-20 minutes.
6. Meanwhile, in small saucepan, combine coco aminos, ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes, sesame oil, rice vinegar and pinch of salt.
7. Whisk together and place on stovetop on medium heat.
8. Add arrowroot powder and whisk together; it will start to thicken as it starts to heat up.
9. Continue to whisk and remove from heat AS SOON AS IT STARTS TO THICKEN! If you over-cook it, the arrowroot will turn the sauce gummy and become too thick.
10. When wing are done, place in large bowl and then drizzle with sauce; tossing to coat all of the wings.
11. Place wings on serving plate and sprinkle with sesame seeds and cilantro; serve with lime wedges.

This week has been absolutely nuts! We have had some scary turns and some beautiful ones. All I can say is that I am betond grateful for the life I have and the loved ones I share it with. 💜
I promise I haven't been completely MIA, we had some family emergencies and if you know me at all family is FIRST. My brother got married (still ugly crying because he is supposed to be the baby). Just so much happening. I cannot believe it well actually I can — they say it takes 21 days to make or break a habit and the girls did it!!! .
From October 1st until the 21st:: they pushed play every day, the dedicated themselves to their scheduled workouts, they had their clean eats and snacks at work PLUS they enjoyed balance and treated themselves. .
They got through the bumps in the road with sicknesses, kids who demand attention, long days at work, and just life in general! They never gave up on 30 minutes a day they never gave up on themselves for 21 days, how awesome is that?!?!
A true inspiration, true supermamas, girls who are true to their heart to their journey! They said yes and nothing was stopping them. .
SO turn on som music 🎶 pump up the jams 🎵 so dang proud of these ladies AND their will to do it again. Thank October 29th starts round 2 — it does take 21 days to create a habit but it takes 90 days to create a lifestyle! It’s time to finish the year strong 💪 .

Truth: I do not enjoy working out.
Two things make it possible for me to want to work out.... ☝🏻Beachbody energize. That stuff is God’s golden powder! Without it I would forever be on the struggle bus. The fact that it is plant based is a huge plus. ✌🏻My monthly accountability groups. Before when I tried to do it on my own not really investing in the whole Beachbody thing I couldn’t finish a week of workouts without starting over the next week. Today I realized I am two weeks away from finishing a second round of Liift4 and I have not missed a workout both rounds.
How did I do that?!? Accountability! Being part of a group that is right along side you pushing for results and a better me has changed my whole world. When you fall down there are so many people to help you get back up. I just love it. And through them and a little boost from my plant based powder I am seeing the best me ever!
Got my 4th and last workout in for this week this morning! I am so grateful for this workout program because since we got Marvin, working out has been a lot more challenging! Having a program that’s 4 days a week lifting and HIIT for only 30 min is exactly what I need right now.
Don’t waste the last few months of the year! Treat it like the beginning of the year when you create a list of resolutions. Why not create one now? Why not start now?

Asian Chicken Salad Lettuce Wraps - Serves 4
•1 lb. chicken, cooked, cubed and chilled (leftover chicken is great for this!)
•1 ½ cups broccoli slaw (may substitute cabbage)
•½ medium red bell pepper, diced
•¼ cup slivered or sliced almonds, toasted
•2 green onions, chopped
•½ medium avocado, diced (optional)
•Romaine or Butter Lettuce, washed and patted dry
•Cilantro for garnish
•Juice and zest of ½ orange (about 3 Tbsp.)
•2 Tbsp. coconut aminos
•2 Tbsp. tahini, sunflower seed butter or almond butter
•1 garlic clove, minced
•½ tsp freshly grated ginger (or ½ tsp. ground dried ginger)
•2 tsp. toasted sesame oil
•2 Tbsp. @primalkitchenfoods avocado oil or light-tasting olive oil
•Salt and pepper to taste
1) Combine chicken, broccoli slaw, red peppers, almonds and green onions in a large bowl. Set aside.
2) Prepare dressing. Place ingredients in a small bowl and whisk until smooth.
3) Pour dressing over salad and mix until chicken and vegetable mixture is completely coated.
4) Fold in diced avocado, if using (note, this will turn brown after a day so if prepping ahead, add just before serving).
5) Serve with lettuce leaves, fresh cilantro and lime wedges.

Too often these days, people are just looking for that quick fix, instant gratification. I get it. I was that person, 100%
I remember when I finally decided I HAD to make a change to reduce my cholesterol, lose some weight and get healthy, I looked at the “easier” way- the faster way. The way that would get me results sooner. .
I would do what I always do. Eat less, go hungry and think about going to a gym. If I made it I would do my 40 minutes on the various different machines, then lift a few weights and do a few sit ups!
I had no game-plan after that. It’s just the way I had always done it, so I figured why not? It does work, I would lose a few lbs. .
But what I realize now is that it didn’t. I always quit, I never had support or a plan. .
But what I learnt was that just being “thinner” will never make you happy. Changing your whole mindset to positive and finding balance in your life; your fitness and nutrition - that will. 😊❤️
Why not give it a try and join my next accountability group? Give me a month. That’s all the time you’ll need to see if this is the solution for you too. I think it will be.

That “early morning, run to work with Starbucks in your hand, dopey eye, could have used more sleep getting ready for the week” hustle mode.
People always want to know how you fit coaching into your life when it’s already hectic enough. It starts out small and then it grows.
It’s not about juggling all the things all the time. It’s about:
🔸Having a plan
🔹Being intentional with your time
🔸Knowing what will will do
And all that is what you learn when you start this crazy journey. All the tools and a huge team.
We are constantly learning and growing.
While I am working as a caregiver today and my client is sleeping, I am getting my hustle on and using my time intentionally.

Eggs have gotten a bad rap over the last few years, and it’s unfortunate, as they are one of the most nutritious foods on the planet, and a fantastic source of protein.
The yolk is loaded with essential fatty acids, carotenoids, iron, calcium, and vitamins A, E, D, K, none of which are found in egg whites.
The yolk contains the healthy fats and cholesterol your body needs to produce the testosterone hormone.
Whole eggs are a low calorie food even though more calories are from fat then from protein.

I'm in such a good mood right now I can't help not posting about it because a few days ago I reached a new level in my business! 🌟
To celebrate I thought I'd go out and buy a few things to change my spare bedroom into a workspace/office 🤗. I know it still looks a little sparse but I'm in the middle of starting a vision board above my desk and hopefully getting a little more painting material. 🌟
It's so important for you to find a quiet place to go that you can focus. I'm not gonna lie starting a business was super intimidating to me but now that I'm seeing progress I realized that I was the only one holding myself back. ❤ 🌟

This morning was a #struggle, but that’s why I keep going back to my first love, Shaun T...he pushes me to NEVER.GIVE.UP! 💪🏽🙌🏽 It was definitely a #challenge, but I represented for my TEAM! We’re still prepping for Round 2 of #LIIFT4, starting October 1. Can’t wait for the December release of @shaunt‘s #Transform20‼️ 6 weeks, 20 min-a-day, pure fat burning...Lord have mercy! 💦
