Spent the last 2 days at Pod Con and now have the need to do a podcast. I have an idea but I ain't tell'in you theifs😉...aka I have no one to do it with.
My soul is in need of a hike! Who’s with me?
It’s easy to settle into routines while life slips slowly past. I often let things build up until I realize I need a break.
My husband and I are taking some time this week to get away and refresh our perspective on our life and relationships. ✨

Hi today I painted what neon feels like. I forgot how much I love working big paper ✨ gouache, watercolor, oil pastel on bfk 22” x 30”
"Why do you wish to behold me? Have you any have doubt of my love? Have you any wish ungratified?" -Cupid
Adding up some words and sentences that might serve as story tellers that floats around the silent space that accentuate the visual existence of feeling. Hoping to finish this soon enough to start other projects. ✏️🎨🖌️
Tbh, I’ve been drinking this straight up— my goodness is it smoooth. The rounded profile of this vodka has me thinking of Man Ray’s “Le Violon d'Ingres” (1924), and his incredible attention to form in this particular work.

My throat is scratchy, my allergies are aching, our roof is leaking in my art studio and our living room (yes in the new house!) and the power on our block went out today... it was a shitty weekend coming off of two just as shitty weeks but my creative silver lining. I got to put a few pieces (12 total) up at @pompomsstpete in St Pete thanks to @aurailieus_artist!
Go see them, let me know what you think!

Close up of a biggie I’m working on....
I know it’s going to change. I was trying so hard to follow a composition of a mini painting I’d done, and it was stealing all the joy from the process for me. It felt tight and closed and lifeless. Then my friend - who will be receiving the painting - told me not to follow the little painting. Just follow my intuition. When she said it, it literally felt like she removed clamps from my shoulders and lifted an anvil from my chest.
It was a weird and curious reaction for me to observe. I’ve never been so alert to what NOT following my intuitive flow meant to my process.
Here’s to learning what’s important to us as artists and humans in this world. 🥂
