Lunch at A Happy Pancake: Happy Pancake and Orange Dolce Tea. I saw how popular this place was on the internet, and I had to come check it out because of how fluffy the pancakes looked! What kind of madness is this?! Well, it definitely looks really good and appetizing, but I was kind of surprised at how quickly they deflated after like 5 minutes. When they first come out, they look like clouds! Then like they start deflating after you spread their whipped butter cream around each pancake. You probably wonder why they look so yellow too, and that’s an easy answer: lots of eggs. The pancakes taste more like eggs than cake unfortunately. They definitely added a ton of eggs and egg white to make the pancakes rise a lot. I would say the taste is quite different from what you would expect from an American pancake. I feel like I ate a whole lot of eggs rather than cake. Also, they serve it with caramel syrup. It is pretty sweet and makes up for the eggy taste. Good pancakes, just not what I expected, and I feel really full... I also don’t feel like I’m gonna have the natural after effect of pancakes: food coma. ——— I rate it as an 8/10.
