Before starting to learn anything, we first know ourselves and be humanity
I didn't get to go to SLIG this year (too much to do for RootsTech) but I am looking forward to our Colloquium panel tomorrow discussing my APGQ articles on The Perceived Value of Professional Genealogy. Can't wait to discuss these issues with Rick Sayre, Billie Stone Fogarty, Russell Lynch, Crista Cowan and Jessica Dalley Taylor. I'm so glad they agreed to be on the panel. #Can'tWait #SLIGFun#genealogy
You know that phrase “whether you think you can or can’t, you are right?”
This has proven true over and over again in my life. When I am mentally prepared to take on a task or goal, such as losing weight, working out, writing the book, working on self development, whatever it is, I’ve only succeeded when I have mentally prepared and have the right mindset. ▫️
I have some weight to lose from the last pregnancy and we decided to tackle our health in the New Year. I prepared myself mentally for a WEEK before we started. I had put the wrong kind of fuel in my body for too long and I knew it would be a battle. Battle of will. ▫️
It has not be near as hard to make the right food decisions and choose to work out when I’d rather nap because of the mental preparation I did.
Half the battle is in your mind. Believe that you can!
CALLING IT: The mixed “stir-fried suki-yaki” (สุกี้ผัดแห้งรวมมิตร) at Thai Heng, in Bangkok’s Chinatown, is one of the best fried noodle dishes in the city. A knot of glass noodles scorched w chicken, pork liver, preserved squid, shrimp and egg, and a fair bit of vegetables as well. But the highlight might be the dipping sauce, which elsewhere is usually just red and sweet, but here is savory, spicy, tart and garlicky.
