We only had a short drive, until we decided to 'quickly' detour via Tamworth to hit up a BCF sale so Fisherman Scott could grab some gear 😂
Our first day was spent hiding from the dust storm that hit NSW, which gave Scott time to set up his new toys.🎣 Explored Waa Gorge, Sawn Rocks and Mt Kaputar National Park. ▪Waa Gorge was amazing! There is no actual marked track to the gorge, you just follow along the creek bed. We certainly felt tiny standing below the 70m high cliffs. Loved it! ▪Sawn Rocks. INCREDIBLE 😍 They are an example of 'organ piping', extending 40m above the creek and 30m below. They really have to be seen in person!! WOW! ▪Mt Kaputar NP. The drive up certainly makes the heart race! Narrow windy gravel road up that we both refused to look over the edge 😜 Well worth the drive though. Absolutely beautiful! We did 'The Governor' walk and were rewarded with breathtaking views!! #rogue_wanderaus#themitchellstouraus#theycallhimfishermanscott#travelaustralia#campingaustralia#visitnsw#narrabri#waagorge#sawnrocks#mtkaputar#mtkaputarnationalpark#amaroklife#amarokaustralia#rhondarok#lovinglife
