taking this bump to its last wedding today 👰🏻🤵🏻 // so excited to spend the day shooting Michiala + Matt’s wedding and to wrap up my 2018 season 🙌 #lindsayskeansphotography
` Eeek ! Guys, I can't even tell you how much I am in love with this stunning wedding we shot in Banff a few weeks ago! ❤ I'm loving Video more and more every day!! 😍😍 Let me know your thoughts!
During our client's wedding reception we snuck out to the roof top patio for some portraits. I noticed these textured walls that created some leading lines. After posing my clients I placed an off camera flash behind them to create a brim light and a flash in front of them (both with Magmod filters to shape the light). This photograph was shot with a Nikon d850, Nikon 35mm at F10, ISO 1600 at 1/125sec. Ask away if you have any questions!
How incredible is this family style table at Kaja and Mike’s backyard wedding in Okotoks? The real beauty in some venues is all in the feeling, and intimate ones like these have all the right feels. Thank you Calgary weather for coming back to this!
Here is a sneak peek from Josh and Stephanie’s engagement session on Sunday. Look at those fall colours! 🍃🍂

From this moment on 💖💕
Congrats to Rosalee & Adam! It was an amazing day full of love and light and life. Thank you for letting me celebrate with you! ♡
The blog is up!
I first met Jessy, not too surprisingly in a ringette arena - it was part of both of our upbringings, almost part of a peculiar religion. She was a teeny petite goalie (that was actually a ringette age category!), and I was there to try to bring some guidance to her about the techniques that can be used to stop the blue rubber, by me, another tiny but older version. Even then she had a kindness to her, a maturity that left an impression and stuck with our family. It was this impression that Jessy left that brought my mom to a few tears on her wedding day, and left a pretty big impression that Adam needed to fill on first meetings, and he did just that. ` Oh hey Sunshine, where were you on Saturday? haha 🙈
Saturday was definitely not the most ideal day for a wedding, with it's chilly wind and snowy feel.. But we braved the cold and made the best out of it! ❤
Thanks to these two love birds for trusting me! 💕

I’m knee deep in culling + editing today.👩🏼💻
It got me thinking about a conversation I had this week. A friend was taking a vacation, but said she really hadn’t "earned it". She put conscious effort into creating boundaries in her work + balance for her family.
This conversation led to the realization that there is a nagging in our minds that if we aren’t CONSTANTLY busy, if we decide to create some boundaries + we aren’t always at our desks editing or out shooting then we haven’t earned the “right" to take a moment away to breath, or take a vacation.
Why do we have this mentality of putting value on working ourselves to pure exhaustion? I don’t think you have to be an entrepreneur to have that feeling. I think we are all susceptible to valuing ourselves based on how much we work.
What I wish we valued was that ever elusive balance in life. To be real I don’t really believe in balance, I believe in boundaries. Being able to be self aware ➡️ knowing when we need a break regardless of our workload, valuing time with our loved ones + creating boundaries with our work so that it doesn’t define us, but is part of how we are able to create a whole being.
What’s a boundary you have to ensure you are taking care of you and your family? For me the past two weeks it’s been early bedtimes and a run. Hands down it clears my head and keeps me feeling more equipped to handle what comes my way.
` " We’re so glad we found and hired Krystal! She’s so easy going and great to work with and her photography is amazing, we can’t pick our favourites! She captured all the special moments, as well as the candid and emotional ones, we now have a beautiful collection of photos that really tells the story of our day, something we will cherish forever! We would highly recommend her!" - Christina and Dave ❤
I am seriously beyond excited to be offering #weddingvideography as part of my packages next year! 😍 ❤
Already booked your wedding but want to add video? Let's chat, that's definitely something we can do!! 💕

I had the honour of photographing two amazing weddings this weekend!!Saturday’s wedding was spent with one of the best couples... and I may never stop posting pictures from it. ❤️
Kevin and I have been road-tripping this week through some amazing cities, and the scenery is leaving me so inspired to create some beautiful images (follow along at @alysmarie for personal pics from our trip). I’ll be back in the office answering emails and regular posting next week, but in the meantime here is an image from my most recent wedding. Loving this colour palate so much! 🙌🏻
