Wednesday Wisdom...Raising kids is challenging.
Junior high can be devastating. Was it for you? It was for me.
I flashback to my 13 year old self and cringe. I hid in a teacher’s class during lunch half of my 7th grade year and most of my 8th grade year because of fear (bully). No one knew about it but my best friend. I lacked confidence and didn’t take risks. I didn’t try out for flags in 8th grade, ASB (student council) or go to dances because of fear. Not because I didn’t want to. I did want to. But fear stopped me.
Thank goodness something changed. 9th grade had to be different. I wasn’t going to miss out on any more of life (school experiences). As I watch my junior high girl soar, shine, grow, and thrive, I’m grateful she’s not like me back then. She has no fear. She’s bold and brave. She takes risks and stands up for herself. She goes the extra mile and pushes hard.
She’s much more like the me now thank goodness. Watching my kids becoming confident versions of their soon to be adult selves makes my heart sing.
Fear....don’t let it stop you from doing more, truly living, and experiencing life!! Be brave today.

Step out of my comfort zone she said, try new things she said!! I heard you! This is my first “official selfie” EVER!! I know.. I know..HOW is that possible, yet here it is. 😱. It’s only Tuesday, but I have been fortunate enough to have met three wonderful women this week. All moms, all working, all studying and learning how to be a happier, more successful version of themselves. Jenny @shediditvideo_in_neo gave me some incredible advice and LOTS of contacts. I am so excited about working on a few videos for @beyondhelp_of_wadsworth with her, so stay tuned! Then there was Amy with @amyfleckfit who gave me some solid advice with my #achillesheel ...healthy eating and exercise! It was just an added surprise that she is an all around funny lady in which I happen to have a lot in common! 🤗 I also booked a new client today that is one of the sweetest moms I’ve met. I look forward to helping her tackle her #organization needs! (Plus I hope to pick her brain while we organize, because she is a super smart #marketingmajor that knows her stuff! 😉) I am truly enjoying #creating, #building and #sharing my company. Homemade meatballs totally out-do the store bought kind and when your freezer is stocked with our quality meets you have ground beef ready to pull out at your leisure! .
THE HOW-TO 🐄
*2 LBS Ground beef *2 eggs
*2-4 cloves crushed garlic
Mix and roll into balls or use a small ice cream scoop, drop on a lined baking sheet and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. .
Pull from the oven and dump in a Crock-Pot with your favorite BBQ sauce or make your own and simmer for 6ish hours on low! .
Serve over rice with some yummy steamed green beans and enjoy!! 👌
Wow has anybody else been so busy recently?! 😅 for weeks we’ve been meaning to do our annual autumn celebration day where we throw leaves at each other, find conkers to battle with and take in the last of the sun’s rays...today we finally made it and we’ve basically missed autumn 😳 we found two little, mouldy conkers on the floor! Nothing else! 😂 where has the time gone?! We still had a fun day playing in God’s creations #hisday#busyfamily#autumnishere

Afternoon: furniture shopping for new house and working at new house
Family dinner and movie night
I know that once we get to the afternoon, I’ve missed my chance. So I take advantage of when the kids are participating in activities that I don’t need to watch (daily practices) and run or workout there. I dropped Indiana at dance, ran for 40 minutes, popped into Indigo Brew very wet and sweaty to order smoothies, ran back to dance to pick up Indy, picked up smoothies and went to gymnastics. Back just in time for violin and soccer! Bam! That’s how it’s done!
Don’t let your schedule make you mis your workout. Work it in! It’s always possible.
OMG...Struggle bus rating today is a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10! I did NOT want to do this today. From past experience I know this high intensity interval leg day from week 2 is no joke. It is the hardest one for me for sure! My challengers all did it yesterday and I postponed it. My to do list of things to get done around the house was super long and I have been dreading it. I could’ve and I did try to put this off as long as possible or skip it, but the truth is I know that once I get it done I feel those endorphins kick in. I’m the only one that can do this for me. It makes me feel accomplished, proud, and leads to me enjoying the rest of the day even more. But I’m not gonna lie, I hated every minute of it today except this moment...the END feeling the sweat dripping!! Here’s to doing the things you don’t want to do today, but you do them anyway because they matter. Now I’m happy, I get to spend most of my day watching my kids thrive, smile, and grow with their marching band family!! Here’s to a fabulous Saturday! Time to meal prep for their competition ❤️ What’s on your fun agenda today?
Starting the weekend with a good Tri-pump👊🏻 Then it’s off to the soccer parks for a chilly final game of the season⚽️, followed by hopefully watching another #brewcrew victory⚾️💙💛•••
Life during the week is so busy, moving from one thing to the next, and weekends sometimes feel the same. Today I will be intentional about slowing down and actually sit down for a little while☺️

How many meals do your kids eat in the car? Mine ... alot. Atleast, 2 nights out of 7, sometimes 4. No judgement please, but this is a reality for the world we live in these days. With 3 kids in programs after school it is impossible not to eat atleast one meal in the car. Anyway, I thought I’d start sharing my car meals. Cause who isn’t looking for ideas!?!! Stir-fry is quick to make and quick to pack. I add their favourite vegetables, with chicken and of course some easy skinny rice noodles. It goes into a thermos to keep warm. Then 6 times out of 10, someone is happy that I made the effort. Don’t forget, it’s also still warm after the program! For us tonight is gymnastics 🤸♀️

Another late night last night with kids touch rugby training, two big tournaments over the next two weeks that they have worked hard for! Lucky I had @plateupnz ready and waiting in the fridge...last night was butter chicken with cauliflower/broccoli rice and it was delicious!
