We #standwithbushman already for almost two decades since seen him live in Europe 2003! His lyrics and music inspires and support consciousness and healthy atittude that is so needed in this world. So radios, medias and promoters in #Jamaica please give to the artist his respect, credit, chances and songs in rotation. There is really too much of slackness and bling bling in the mainstream over real rasta message. Guess why? Somebody want us stupid and just blindly consuming, growing our ego attachment, profanity and stupidness. #Bushman has some real message, wisdom and good music! #ConqueringLion#staystrong#rootsandculture#reggae#music #876
You just live off the land ‘cos the land will provide. I was in the bush for 6 weeks and the land provided. You just have to open your eyes. Go to the library, get a book on wild plants that you can eat, and you CAN’T eat - that’s very important because you don’t want to die in the forest, photocopy it and bring it along with you. We humans don’t need a lot, we only have to eat enough to fuel us with the energy we need till our next meal. I don’t eat wheat. I only eat food that’s organic, gluten-free and non-gmo. No artificial nonsense. Those are the things that will take years off your life. So I grow my own food in my garden. Potatoes, cauliflower, lettuce, cabbage, silverbeet, apples… I grow more so that I can share it with my neighbours just to see them smile because those smiles are worth a million dollars.

What a beautiful mix of spices, and such an array of colours. This mix is perfect for a curry 🍛!
BBQ’ed pork ribs, not long after this animal was butchered. They weren’t the most tender cut, but the taste wow! It was amazing. Especially knowing exactly where that pig came from 🙌

Another simple dish, chargrilled hot peppers on the bbq marinated in olive oil, lemon, salt and Oregano. This dish with fresh home made bread from my grandma is bloody amazing 🙏

Kingfish caught from Jervis Bay, snap frozen, cut up into cutlets and cooked out in the bush on a mates property. My favourite way to cook fish is on coals, especially king fish.
Kingfish Marinade- Have you kingfish cutlets in a tray, and drizzle extra virgin olive oil, salt , pepper, oregano and lemon. Make sure it’s done on both sides and let it sit in the fridge for 30min.
Note- Also make a bowl of marinade seperate so you can apply to the cutlets while it’s sizzling on the bbq. In the bowl, add plenty of lemon, olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano. And just taste it once your done, you want to taste the zing of the lemon.

Crispy oven baked potatoes
Step 1- boil the chopped up potatoes, just so you can put a fork in them
Step 2- pour them in a dish, drizzle olive oil, white wine, and lemon juice.
Step 3- add salt, coriander, pepper, 2x stems of rose mary, grate 2 cloves of garlic and sprinkle on top.
Step 4- set the oven at 200 degrees, and just keep an eye on them but they should be ready in about 30 to 45min. But the key is the colour you want them to be golden brown.
