Checked my bank account and saw some money I had not expected in there! Bonus, instantly I wanted to add it straight into this months budget to spend as the next week or so is going to be very expensive.
However, I reminded myself that i actually had budgeted for the rest of the month and i will be absolutely fine regardless of this cash so why not throw a portion of it towards savings.
I think this will be my rule for now, any additional income I receive whether it’s through, hustling or gift etc. I will split it three ways to ensure I work towards both my debt free and savings goal. Then a cheeky treat from the wishlist as its all about balance.

This one is about priorities. We know our budgeters have questions about how to set up their budget when it comes to which payments come first. We're here to help with that. If you want to know how to prioritize payments, this Q&A is for you.

Happy “Good Friday” everyone!
For those with a day off enjoy it.
I have hubby home today, a very rare day off together, so I’m going to enjoy every minute of the time we get today.
What’s your plans this Easter Friday? #debtfreejourney
The most important relationship you have is with yourself.
Taking care of myself and making sure to do things that make me feel happy and well. I have been so sore and tight, I went for a quickie massage during my lunch break but found that it wasn’t enough so I booked in a proper remedial massage. Also have a business trip to Melbourne coming up so I am getting my eyelashes and nails done. I hardly ever do but since I am meeting some clients for the first time, I want to feel confident instead of self-conscious. I have budgeted $80 to get my eyelashes and nails done next week. .
Quick massage: $25
Remedial massage (partially covered by private health insurance): $20
What do you do to take care of yourself?

Thanks to my annual bonus I’ve sent an extra £100 more than planned to the mortgage 🎈
I opened a CD last month in preparation to begin saving for our home down payment. Since then we haven't added much. Actually we haven't added anything extra which makes me frustrated. 😤
Sometimes I just wanna see numbers move and like my hubby would tell you, I get laser focused on numbers and completely forget to live.
We have an entire want and need list at our house and now that we are debt free I have to flex a little. So with that said here's our beginning. If you want a little chuckle check out the percentage. 😁
Do you get laser focused on your goals?

Sent the boyfriend to the store while I took a nap. We were going to go check out a new brewery for date night tonight, but instead I talked him into staying home and getting snacks and movies.
None of this is slightly healthy. Not all of this will be eaten tonight. But he knows exactly what I want for snacks.
We got two Redbox movies and we are making nachos for dinner. Staying home on date night is absolutely one of my favorites. However, I’m not sure that this saved him any money, but his love language is definitely acts of service. And bringing me food is a service to me 😂
Please, no rude comments about how unhealthy this is. I know. But sometimes when you rent a dog movie, your heart needs chocolate.
Finishing up a little budget-friendly trip to Vegas with my gal pals! I think while you’re on your debt free journey, you can enjoy vacations and pay off massive amounts of debt. It’s all about balance, right?
