While I used to scoff at those who ordered salads at restaurants (🙈) sometimes a hearty salad packed full of healthy and delicious ingredients is really the perfect option! 🥗
This was the Seasonal Salad with Salmon from @eatnorthitalia in Brickell. The base was made up of butternut squash, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, kale, pecorino cheese, farro, pistachio and dates. The sweet and savoury elements complemented each other perfectly with a white balsamic vinaigrette to bring it all together. Our servers asked how we wanted the salmon cooked, which I loved, so we were able to get the perfect medium-well done (I know others who prefer to go more medium but that’s my personal preference!)
Overall, we really enjoyed our meal here ☺️. There were a couple of serving issues which were probably due to its relatively new opening but the staff were more than apologetic and even deducted items off our bill to compensate, so hats off!
Did you know that the concept or idea of drinking before dinner and sometimes even after lunch better known as Happy Hour some believe comes from the prohibition era (1920's- 30's) this started when people would gather at the famous speakeasys and had a drink or two while they waited for dinner.
Of course drinking was banned at the time so thankfuly we've come a long way. We all know why we call it "happy" yet we should rething the "hour" part since its become a competition of whose is the longest. "Where have I heard that before?" Anyway, the bottomline is that it's become part of our culture and most places around the world have Happy hours that usually start after five pm when most people get out of work. Hence the line, Its 5 O'clock somewhere.
We wouldn’t dare be the exeption to that rule so with my happy face I remind you that we have happy hour every day from 5 to 8 at @lacentralemiami
