I am pleased to announce that the Water Street Bridge has been replaced with a new, safer, and more reliable bridge on Route 129 at the Saugus/Wakefield birder, made possible through a State grant. //
The 100-year-old granite pillar bridge was swapped for a new, 12-foot by 5-foot reinforced concrete boxed culvert. New guardrails have also been installed, and the area is freshly paved. //
Last year, the Town identified a need and applies for a $500,000 grant through the Mass DOT’s Municipal Small Bridge Program to replace the weathered 15-foot bridge, which was over 100 years old and in poor condition. The Town was awarded this $500,000 grant. The Municipal Small Bridge Program allows this Bridge project to be funded entirely through the grant, saving the taxpayers of Saugus $500,000 in projected engineering design and construction costs. //
It is a top priority to continue to provide the residents and visitors of Saugus with the safest and most reliable infrastructure. I would like to thank Lt. Governor Karyn Polito, Saugus’ State Delegation, MassDOT Secretary and CEO Stephanie Pollack, Highway Administrator Thomas Tonkin, and the Department of Transportation for their support and investment in the Town of Saugus and our capital infrastructure plan. //
HOW TO TRAIN AFTER A TRAVEL DAY ✈️ •
1st - Top down joint prep. I use a simple kinstretch routine courtesy of #Boston#kinstretch instructor @coach_crush
2nd - Refocus on my kettlebell skills. Light weight, low reps and enough rest to make them perfect 👌avoid working to fatigue.
3rd - Low tech finisher. Something that is difficult to screw up (give your mind a rest a too) The Assault Bike 15-20 minutes at moderate speed does the trick.

The other night, I was invited to check out the @assaggiolounge upstairs at @assaggioboston. In the North End area, there aren’t too many places to relax with a nice drink and small bites.
I sat in the upstairs lounge space, and could definitely see myself coming back for some of their cocktails and Italian fare. Personally, I enjoyed a negroni (one of my favorite drinks), while indulging in the lamb chops.
During this media dinner, we had a great conversation about how social media impacts the restaurant industry - specifically discussing the review system and how biased that could be. I always try to steer away from the “five star” rating system, and I also try my best to be as transparent as possible about when I’m invited into a location.
One aspect of my dining outings that I don’t have the opportunity to experience, however, is the service. It tends to be a more curated experience. Just some food for thought to keep in mind while navigating the world of media and deciding on the next foodventure!
“Hi! 👋 Roberto (@pocketboston) again. One of my favorite things to do when shooting street photography is revisiting familiar spots and capturing a moment, under different weather and subject conditions. A simple bike in frame can create a story for me, and sometimes that is enough.”
