#booklover#books#bookshelf#booksaremylife#booksarelove#booksbooksbooks#bookstagram#booksaremagic#bookaholic#booksarelife#biography#readingtime#readforever#readingtime 📖 #reader#reading#readingissexy#readanddream#citescdeciexist#eucitesc#citesteocarte#citestecumine#cititoridinromania#cititoripasionati#rutasepetys

I felt unsure as I approached the lovely building ahead its lights bright and inviting but my heart thundered in my chest as the snow under my feet crunched loudly. I didnt know what to expect tonight except that my darling friend wanted me to come to her extravagant party. She had been excited all week that I was coming and I couldnt let her down again. I stopped infront of the doors hearing the loud music from inside. She was a vibrant girl who loved crowds. I on the other hand was more quiet and reserved. I heard a couple coming from behind and was forced to go in before I could clear my head. I was amazed at the sight. Lights twinkled everywhere soft and romantic like. She decorated it in soft pinks tans and whites. Everyone looked amazing in their attires. I scanned the room quickly to spot her smiling at her guest. I made my way to her tapping her shoulder gently. She turned to face me and let out a squel of excitement. I couldnt help but laugh. "Gorgeous!" She said twirling me around. "Im so happy you came Sicily!" She smiled warmly. "Come you must meet my brothers!" She whisked me through the crowd. We came up to three men dressed elegantly as they sipped on some wine. One of the brothers back was faced towards us until she touched his shoulder. He turned to see his loving sister. "Brothers! I am so glad to see you." She kissed all three of their cheeks. "I brought my best girl to meet you guys!" She grinned as she presented me. "Sicily this is Greg, Martin, and Donavan." I smiled ackwardly at the handsome men. "Its a pleasure to met you," Greg said. "Same," I blushed at his beautiful green eyes. His brothers excused themselves when they saw some familiar friends walk through the door leaving me and Greg to chat while Averry went to greet more guest. "She talks about you alot." He said offering me a drink. "She better," I teased. "You dont remember me do you?" He asked catching me off guard while we chatted. "Ugh..Am I supposed to?" I asked confused. His smile was heartstopping. "I guess you wouldnt," He stated taking his last sip. "What," I was anxious now sifting through thoughts. "You got drunk recently." My mouth dropped. "That was you?" #romance
Tonight's book selections. I love that our small town library has such a great selection of diverse books. Most of these are new to the library - I usually pick up at least two books from the New Books shelf alone, then I skim picture books and nonfiction for exciting books to share with my 3yo, 5yo, and 8yo children.
Nonfiction picture books have really grabbed my 5yo daughter's attention. Dogs in Space, Me... Jane, and now I am Martin Luther King, Jr, are her recent favorites. She loves hearing the story, then seeing real photos of the subject. I love seeing her make the connections between stories and real life.
MB!! Tiffany!! It has been amazing to be a part of the Bookship family and sharing a love for #YALit and this brilliant bookstagram community. I can’t bear to part so I’m applying on this lucky day 🍀.
I’m Alex from sunny California and I have just returned from my travels to The Kingdom of Fireli (The Anitidote by Shelley Sackier was brilliant!). #YALit is my everything and I love taking different photographs or even filming trailers that best highlight works or bookish items. I had a blast filming and editing the trailer for This Lie Will Kill You. ——————————————————————————
You can always count on my boundless enthusiasm, love of #MyBookship , daily bookstagram interactions, and unique photos, book trailers, and unboxings. I’d do everything possible to promote @bookship_box in the best way possible. I hope to have the chance to continue applying my creativity and upbeat energy to the team. ——————————————————————————
Thank you for the opportunity! Am definitely crossing my fingers and wishing on the luck of the Irish.
Hello everyone, happy Saint Patrick’s day! ☘️
I don’t have many green books, but I tried my best to take a photo for today. ARATG and Thunderhead are two of my favorite books though, and luckily they are both green. I can’t pass up an opportunity to show my fav book.
I love how the cover of Reaper is green! I can imagine the 4th book being black to go with the dark dark themes, that or a dark purple. 🥰
Also, as you can tell my copy of The Hobbit is a handy down, the cover is half ripped off. It is my dads, so I think it’s from the 50’s or 60’s. I haven’t read it, but I do plan on it some day 🙃
I couldn’t fall asleep last night, so I read about 60 pages of DoBaS at 2 in the morning because sleep is for weak. 🤣I’m half way through now! I’m definitely going to finish it over break.
Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s day? My family is having shepherds pie tonight. My grandma is also Irish, so I have some Irish in me! #saintpatricksday#green#lucky#leperchaun#bookstagram#books#book#bookish#youngadult#yabooks#areaperatthegates#thunderhead#thehobbit#harrypotter#booklover#booksarelove#bookworm#fairylights

Hello book loving wonder nuggets! How is your Sunday so far?
I finished reading Fire Spell by Laura Amy Schlitz, also published as Splendor and Gloom, which I prefer as a title.
It reminded me a bit of Cuckoo's Song by Francis Hardinge, in that it conjures up a magical Dickensian setting and has so do with dolls/puppets and a child being kidnapped by a nefarious antagonist. It also has a bit of a Diana Wynne Jones feel to it.
The writing is excellent, taking a distant third person pov though much of the book, which I feel is unusual for a middle grade novel. It's atmospheric, the descriptions of the magic are gloriously surreal moments, and the characters are very well developed, although not all have a definable character arc. All in all it was an enjoyable read.
However, I felt there are several aspects which are unsuitable for a book targeted at middle grade readers. The plot was slow and that beautiful prose is overwritten for younger readers. It contained quite a strong swear word toward the end, which I was very surprised to see. There are also scenes of severe violence against children, women being burnt alive, alcoholism and references to adult sexuality, which may not be appropriate/children might find disturbing. Definitely for ages 11+
As an adult I enjoyed it and would recommend the book to readers who like macabre victoriana, magical mystery, descriptions of dog walking and creepy puppets.

Jane Austen'in Kayıp Anıları // #kitapyorumu 📚
Gurur ve Önyargı'yı ilk okuyuşumun ardından aşık oldum Austen' in kalemine.
