No te equivoques

"You may tell a tale that takes up residence in someone’s soul, becomes their blood and self and purpose. That tale will move them and drive them and who knows what they might do because of it, because of your words". - The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
Please watch your words. You never know how intently someone is listening. They may take a carelessly assembled sentence to heart. Or act bravely with your heartfelt encouragement. Your words can have power.
This time last week, all of New Zealand was in shock. I don't think anyone could have imagined an attack happening on our peaceful soil.
Sadly over the past day or so I've noticed a dramatic increase of racist and Islamophobist comments infiltrating social media.
If you see anything unsettling online, please report it.
What we need now is understanding, respect and kindness shown towards other religions to which we don't personally practice.
Don't hate someone else's beliefs just because they are different to yours. Don't hate someone else because of their culture. Don't hate someone else because of their skin colour.
Just don't hate, okay?

Here’s a #bookquote from my #currentread#thekaleidoscopesisters by @ronniekstephens
I’m about halfway through, hoping to finish tonight, and all I have to say is WOW. It’s complicated to describe this book so far because it’s a heavy and light read all at the same time. It’s heavy in that one of the main characters is a dying child but it’s light in that there is a fantasy world. I’m very excited to see where the rest of this book takes me. It’s given some hints but I don’t want to jump to conclusions. All I know is, I hope there will be more books happening inside this fantasy world because I am completely intrigued by it. I also wish I could live there. #bookstagram#quotes#yabooks#fantasy#sisters#family#love#butterflies#newheart#stenosis
New York Journal of Books reviews THE BOOK ARTIST by @markpryorbooks: "A real strength of the novel is the writer’s close familiarity with policing, evidence gathering, and procedure...."

"The intense horror of nightmare came over me: I tried to draw back my arm, but the hand clung to it, and a most melancholy voice sobbed, ‘Let me in—let me in!’ ‘Who are you?’ I asked, struggling, meanwhile, to disengage myself. ‘Catherine Linton,’ it replied, shiveringly...‘I’m come home: I’d lost my way on the moor!’"
~Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë
Happy Friday bookworms. What are you all reading this weekend? I'll probably finish Poldark tonight (still enjoying it ❤️) and start something new tomorrow, although lately I've been hankering for a re-read of an old favourite, and Wuthering Heights is a definite contender.
This is a picture from my birthday trip to Haworth, and was taken at Haworth Old Hall. I'm planning another trip to the Brontë Parsonage next month 😊
"It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is Summer in the light and Winter in the shade."
Hey friends! What do you like about your Hogwarts House?
I'm a proud Hufflepuff and I love that the people in my house have their heart in the right place and are always seeking a life full of passion, purpose, magic and miracles. 🌻🌻🌻
“Even though it may not feel like it, the way your partner shows up is usually a reflection of how you are showing up. In whatever way you feel their closure, you are usually matching them in an equal yet opposite closure of your own. For example, if you are dating and you attract nothing but wishy-washy men, you might want to look at whether you are hiding your authentic heart’s truth — a reciprocal yet slightly different way of avoiding love.” - Londin Angel Winters, The Awakened Woman’s Guide To Everlasting Love
