Butterflies took me longer to get through than I thought it would.
I am NOT a fast reader, my thoughts do not multitask, & I don't make enough time to read, ever!
You know what living in a home FULL of books does to you though? It floods you with this desire to read that you're unable to shake! Even for the most stubborn readers.
So today, I am so glad I picked up my copy of The Mysterious World of Cosentino: The Missing Ace ♠️
This book has been sooo much fun to read! The way it's been illustrated really brings the story to life! I can't wait to read this with the little!
Hey guys! 😊Exciting event happening tomorrow! Come and see my zines at the #ECAbookmarks2019 and other creative people's work too! Also can buy zines for yourself! The event is free, starting from 11am-7pm. At the ECA Lauriston campus, 76-78 Lauriston Pl, Edinburgh EH3 9DE. Such an exciting opportunity! 😁

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine.
Or is she?
Gail Honeyman's follows Eleanor, a woman who has followed the same routine for years, getting by on her own, not knowing the difference between being independent and being lonely. However, one night when her eyes land upon a musician she feels like she's met the person she wants to spend the rest of her life with. There on, things start to change for Eleanor as a series of events make her open herself to the world she has secluded herself from for so long. Having been brought up by an abusive mother, whose voice keeps telling her she'll never be good enough and having moved from one foster home to another during her formative years, Eleanor has had a tragic past. She never knew what love and affection are like.
The character building is great, Honeyman makes the reader see the world through Eleanor's eyes, exposing all her thoughts and feelings. It gave a raw feel to the story. The narrative goes from being humorous to heartfelt. It's like you literally begin to feel everything from her sadness to her excitement at having taken a step forward to her discovering what it is like to be happy.
It was almost heartbreaking to see how she learns what it is to care for someone and to be cared for by a friend. Her struggle to cope with reality and things that are far out of her comfort zone.
Another thing that I really appreciate about this novel is its focus on mental health issues and the kind of impact one's childhood can have on them.
The thing that carries the most suspense in the plot is Eleanor's past. At some point, I did feel that the plot is being stretched out but I think it was the writing style and the underlying themes that the story was trying to convey made up for that. This was unlike many books I have read recently, one where you keep learning something that gives you a whole new perspective towards the story until the very end. #bookparadisum#bookblog#books#bookstagram#bookstagrammer#bookreview#bookbloggers#bookshelf#bibliophile#booklover#read#instagood#instadaily#bookish#follow#shelfie#bookmarks#instagram#booksandcoffee#bookstagramindia#yanovels#ya

Omg! My amazing friend @m0onlitangel surprised me with these bookmarks. I love them!
If anyone would like one let me know! Free. My first swag. 😎
Happy Friday, booknauts! Today feels like print in NYC. Seventy degrees F? And it’s not sunny. It’s like my absolute favorite weather!
If you’ve seen my stories, you already know that I have some new bookmarks in the shop, and I am obsessed with them! I am keeping a set just for me! And the one pictured here is my absolute favorite. The poem describes perfectly how I feel about books. I dive so deep, that sometimes it makes it hard to come back up once it’s over. The books I love become a part of me, the characters - my lifelong friends. It is a beautiful experience. Don’t forger, the 20% off everything Sale is still going on!
Qotd: do you use the same bookmark over and over or mix it up?
Aotd: I don’t like change, so even though I have an unhealthy amount of bookmarks, I tend to use only a few of my absolute favorites. Current favorite is the Polaroid bookmark of Darrow’s face I made for myself!
No tag today, I’ll want to take my little guy for a walk on this beautiful day! Have a lovely weekend everyone!

And we're back! While Instagram shut down yesterday for me (and many others) for the majority of the day, I managed to get so much done! Who knew social media took up so much of my time? 🙈😂
One of the things I was working on yesterday was planning some new things for the shop and I've had quite a few of you ask about new bookmarks lately. So today, I'm coming at ya for some suggestions of new bookmarks you'd love to see!
Let me know in the comments if you have any ideas -- could be a specific quote, or just a book you'd want a bookmark for or even just something non-book related. The possibilities are endless! (Photo of our "Book Nerd" bookmark is from @nightreads )
