Catch me focusing on what really matters, letting go of what doesn’t, and making sure I have everything I need for this next stage of my life. Self-development never ends. If you don’t want to grow.... you’ve got to go.
Good evening! I know I am posting this late, I’m sorry about that. I’ve been busy doing my final project for Global Studies, which is a pain in the butt 😅 but the highlight of my day was my mom giving me this book! She went to Barnes and Nobles to get my brother space magazines and knew she couldn’t get him something and not me ☺️ it took her a little bit to pick a book since she didn’t know which books I had and which I wanted to read. Her choosing this book shows how much she pays attention to me because I told her once that I wanted to read this book, but didn’t want to movie cover :) .
Are you going to watch the Five Feet Apart movie? I will when it comes out! .

The Ark of Covenant - What’s really inside it? Why is it hidden?
Some background first... The Ark of Covenant is a gold-covered wooden chest with lid cover described in the Book of Exodus as containing the two stone tablets of the Ten Commandments. According to various texts within the Hebrew Bible, it also contained Aaron’s rod and a pot of manna.
Did the Ark contain some sort of radioactive ancient technology? An alien power source? Apparently people weren’t allowed to touch it and it wasn’t allowed to be placed on the ground. It was also gilded in gold inside and out which shields radiation.
Aaron’s rod is like Moses’s rod. Moses was his brother. The rods are supposed to be endowed with miraculous powers - like the ability to part the Red Sea and bring forth water from a stone. The pharaoh’s sorcerers also had these rods. Were the wands of wizards an evolution of these rods?
Manna could be referring to White Powder of Gold (ORME). Throughout the ages White Powder of Gold has been known as The Philosopher’s Stone, Star Fire, The Elixir Of Life, Ormus, Manna, and ORME, an acronym for “Orbitally Rearranged Monatomic Elements”. It was said to strengthen life force energy.
The tablets are like the Sumerian ‘Me’ or Tablet of Destinies. These legal documents confer great authority and power over the world to those that have them in their possession. The Egyptians called them the Book of Toth. Also referred to as the Ten Commandments.
Where is it hidden? Ethiopia? Israel? Jordan? Egypt? Maybe it should remain hidden. Imagine if it got into the wrong hands!

I used to reread a ton more often before I joined bookstagram. But now I mostly do my rereads by audio. There are just so many books to get to! I'm halfway through my Illuminae Files reread right now and absolutely loving it!
This is probably the series I have the most merch for too. I love this postcard print, sent to me by my wonderful friend @bookloverinblue, and this gorgeous tote that arrived in a Fairyloot last year. I have a ton of other bookmarks, candles, etc. as well, and I love it all!
Ok, so I'm literally only 6 pages into The Nowhere Girls and I'm already fangirling. Erin is perfection. The way she talks about biology, evolution, and how humans fit into existence is amazing. Also, finally someone else feels the same way about marine invertebrates as I do! *squeals with excitement while hugging book to chest*
Fisher beautifully brings readers the inside of Hollywood through a web of humor, drugs, relationships, Hollywood Party Terror, and much more.

Hello bookstagram community! Did anyone else want to be a part of Dumbledore’s Army? Reading about the houses coming together and learning all this magic as a secret fight club was so cool ⚡️
I’m currently swamped with assignments and painting for my art class. I’m leaving to go overseas in April and struggling to get everything done before then! 🐝

I’ve always loved quotes; I have 3 different ones tattooed on my body. I feel moved by words. The feelings that someone was able to put into beautiful words. I feel the same way about books. I feel the words and emotions jump right off the page at me.
I always note down my favorite quotes from books I’m reading and they always get included in my blog reviews. Because I’m so visual, these quotes have now found their way to pictures which I’ll be sharing here too. Enjoy!

$15| All three books of the Earthsea trilogy on tonight's menu! All books in brand new condition. (Selling as set)
Today was the last day before spring break and I am so happy! I really need this break. I have been far too exhausted. I just have some grading left to do tomorrow but I can sleep in and work at my own pace (and maybe with a glass of wine).
I had my formal observation yesterday and it went well. My students were amazing and I received an 'innovating' rating (the highest and almost impossible to acheive). I stress observations so much because I just cannot stand another adult in my classroom. It makes me so nervous. But, my students rocked it and I ending up with some amazing posters on character development and theme in The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka.

✨My #latestpoppurchase & my #latestread
This was an interesting read for me because I’m a huge Marvel but I don’t know that much about Thanos. This book filled in a lot about his backstory, how he heard about the Infinity Stones and much more.
The strange thing about this book is that I never really liked Thanos, I never particularly rooted for him as a character. Not once. And I don’t think you were supposed to. But that didn’t stop me from reading. The events, the revelations and excellent writing kept me turning pages. I wanted to know more, to see what happened next. This book made you understand Thanos more. He never saw himself as the villain but as the hero. Sometimes that makes the best kind of villain. The most formidable. (But don’t get me wrong I seriously hope the Avengers kick his butt in the next movie). So I would recommend this book for Marvel fans, you will enjoy it and more importantly you will understand it. So I highly recommend it for you.
P.S. Loki will always be my favourite MCU villain 😄
Thank you to @harlequinbooks and @harlequinpublicityteam for the free book! ✨ When I first heard about HOW TO HACK A HEARTBREAK by Kristin Rockaway (out 7/30/19), I was immediately intrigued. The story follows Mel Strickland, a help desk clerk at a startup tech company full of self-righteous misogynistic men who never grew out of their frat-boy phase. And like most people, she's also had terrible luck with dating apps. One night after another wave of unsolicited dick pics, Mel reaches her limit and decides to use her brilliant coding skills to create her own app, which allows women to document dating app profiles of harassers and abusers. It's called JerkAlert, and to Mel's surprise, it goes viral within a matter of hours. ✨
As someone who met her current boyfriend on Bumble, I was really curious to read this story. I had a few online dating mishaps before meeting him, so I guess you could say I have a love-hate relationship with these apps. What I loved about this book though is the realistic (and sometimes hilarious) depiction of all the crap women have to put up with in the online dating sphere (not to mention the tech industry). I was rooting for Mel from the very first page, and it was so much fun watching her character growth as the story progressed (I can only wish someone like her and her creative ideas actually existed). In terms of the romance, I think overall the book was definitely more focused on Mel as an individual and her personal development (which I really appreciated!). I think you’ll enjoy this book if you’ve had any kind of experience with the modern dating scene (especially if you’re frustrated with it 🙃). 4⭐️

Happy Monday! Do you like starting a brand new week or do you mourn the end of the weekend? I’m trying to focus on what I need to accomplish in each new week and see it as a fresh start. Do you have any favorite Monday rituals? *
I don’t have many of the Barnes & Noble editions but I couldn’t resist this one! It’s one of my favorite books in my favorite color. Have a good start to the week!

Would you be an elf, dwarf, hobbit, ent, human, dragon or any other creature of Middle Earth?
Happy Tolkien Reading Day! My Book Queens blessed me with this beautiful @juniperbooks edition of Lord of the Rings for my birthday, and they made sure it got here in time for me show them off today! It’s also just in time for me to do a reread in April! I read these in elementary school and I am 95% sure I retained none of the information and just gushed over Aragon’s name (I’ve memorized the extended edition films). Thank you so much @thisdreamofmine, @read.and.wander and @readitandweep_girls!
So I would 100% be a hobbit. I would plant gardens, live in a hill, eat a lot, never wear shoes, and drink a lot of ..juice.
. @secondstarlit’s Monthly Melt for April is Tolkien-themed! So make sure to subscribe for some awesome Middle Earth smells and use FABLES10 to save! Fingers Crossed for The Shire!
