The Shining is one of my favorite Kings, it was one I read very early on in my King journey and really solidified him as a favorite author. This Cemetery Dance edition came in the mail yesterday, a sweet surprise from my husband, and I may have gasped. I was debating leaving the plastic wrap on but my curiosity won out and I had to see the inside. And yup, I love it. It makes me want to re-read The Shining. But not this edition, I'm not crazy. .
Do you have an edition (or editions if you're lucky) you just love so much? Do I need more Cemetery Dance editions?! .
A strapping bodyguard and a mysterious beauty on the run cross paths and tempt danger in Cozumel…
Dangerous Beauty, an all-new sexy and suspenseful romance from @jtgeissingerauthor is available now!
For Nasir, former Special Ops military man and bodyguard, his new job seems like an easy-money gig: trail a Russian mobster’s runaway wife in Mexico, enjoy the sun, observe, and report. Just one rule: don’t get too close. But it’s all Naz can do not to watch the alluring dancer’s every move. A closer look is irresistible—especially when she’s in trouble.
Evalina escaped to the island getaway to live an untraceable life—as far away from the past as she can get. But Eva can’t ignore the dark, muscled stud who rescues her from a drug gang. He says he’s an ex-cop on vacation. When providence throws them together time and again, Eva thinks it’s all a beautiful coincidence. Now she’s giving in to a strange new sensation: trust.
But Naz has a mission to accomplish and a secret to keep. Eva has her share of secrets, too. And as the heat flares between them, Naz knows that trust could become the most dangerous impulse of all.

I just finished Bloodleaf by Crystal Smith and let me say...wow. It took me a while to get into it. At first, the main character Aurelia gave the appearance of many other spoiled, perfect, clueless YA heroines and I just wasn't feeling it. When something almost unforgivable happens in the first quarter of the book, I actually had to put it down and walked away for a few days. But maybe it was just me, because when I dove back into it, the story got good, really good. I flew through the rest of the book, and loved it. Aurelia became a much stronger character and I loved Zan, Nathaniel, and Conrad. This went from a so-so read to an amazing one.

"If it was a sin for you to choose me . . . then I would go to the Devil himself and bless him for tempting ye to it." – Diana Gabaldon's Dragonfly in Amber
These books are sooooo so SO GOOD. I'm on Dragonfly in Amber right now. And I can't stop. I love how the fantasy aspect has surfaced a bit again, while still heavily dealing with the rich and tragic Scottish history. Jamie Fraser for life. 🙌🏻🖤 What is more perfect than pairing a rosemary & lemon Highlander's Hearth @whimsicalspruce
Bath Bomb and Dinna Fash, Sassenach candle from @wickwishcandleco together?
Make sure to head over to @whimsicalspruce because there are some exciting things going on over there. 🙊

#QOTD : Do you ever remove books from your To-Be-Read list because your list is just getting too dang long? 📚
I read a blog post recently that was a weekly exercise to thin out a TBR list on GoodReads - you go to your TBRs, sort them from oldest to newest added, & then look at the oldest 5 & decide whether or not to keep them on the list or remove them.
So I went to my GR TBR and there are 410 books on it! 410!!! 😱 Ugh. What should I do??!!
Happy Release Day @jenvanwyk!! Gone For You is LIVE and FREE in Kindle Unlimited!
I LOVED this book and can't recommend it enough! One Click Now!!
I wasn’t expecting to find you. The night was only supposed to be a celebration for my friend, but I couldn’t stop my heart, or body, from being drawn to you. Then I got to know you, and you chipped away every wall I’d built around my heart. You don’t know how many times I found reasons to talk to you. To see you.
It has to stop.
There’s distance between us I can’t control.
Damn you and your dimple for being so irresistible.
I wish I wasn’t so Gone for You.
I knew I wouldn’t be able to let you go the night you walked into my bar. Everything in me screams to keep you close.
I’m ready to move forward, to stop making excuses to see you, but I know you need more time.
You’ve created this distance between us to protect your heart, but you have to know its safe with me.
The moments you give me aren’t enough.
I want you forever and I’ll stop at nothing to make it happen.
After all, I’m so Gone for You.

❤️🙏A snapshot of an amazingly elaborate and thoughtful review. What a fantastic way to kick off another week.
The entire review can be found here:
I Bodleian Library's giftshop købte jeg dette fine bogmærke ❣️ Jeg har endnu ikke fået skrevet så meget om min tur til London, men jeg håber at kunne finde tid til at skrive et indlæg om det i aften. Først vil jeg have en kop sort kaffe og skrive en anmeldelse af Pigen de sendte tilbage.
Bruger I mon bogmærker, æselører eller måske noget helt tredje? 🤓📚
Book 47 of 2019.
Desi Miss Marple?
3 short mystery stories and likeable and relatable detective- Sudha Gupta, who solves crimes using good old common sense and observations.
Easy. Breezy. Interesting. Fun. Real.
Can't believe this little gem of a book sat unread on my shelf for over a year. So good!
March has been a pretty great book month for me. I’ve managed to read much more than I thought I would and this book haul is probably my favorite so far this year, if not ever! SO many titles I’ve been dying to read.
My personal goal this year has been to read four books a month, and with six days left of March I’ve already finished five. Even with less reading hours!
I‘ve managed to double my reading speed since New Year’s by identifying some of the factors that slowed me down. I’ve always been a slow reader, but now I feel like that’s about to change. As I’m not reading in my mother tongue, I’m kinda proud of my progress! Am I even allowed to say that? Haha 🤔
I’m not saying there is something wrong with being a slow reader, not at all! I actually believe it comes with a lot of benefits. But this is something I’ve been wanting to challenge myself in, and it has been fun doing so! I just always thought I was doomed to read slow.
QOTD: Do you spot any favorites in my latest haul?
Struggling with caption again but i guess when in doubt... just upload Harry Potter books 😝😁
What is your Hogwarts house? comment below emojis with the color of your Hogwarts House 🤩😌
Mine is 🦁📕❤️🍎🌹🍁🎒🧶
I cant believe March is almost over like wooow 😱😱 time flies!!
Have you ever tried listening to audiobooks?
Something new in my life: I’ve signed up for an audiobook membership! I’m actually going to try a couple of different platforms before I recommend one. @kdwinchester and others on Bookstagram have tried and recommend audiobooks, so I decided to give it a shot (actually this is my second try). I read the first 4 chapters of THE WEIGHT OF A PIANO from my physical copy and then listened to the audiobook narration until I reached the final 3 chapters, which I read from my physical copy again. I’ve tried audiobooks before (STRANGE THE DREAMER) and it was great but I feel I remember names better when I’ve seen them on the page first. So my new approach, which is a combination of physical and audio formats, feels promising! The reason I decided to try audiobooks is I have a billion books to read for uni, for Reading Women and for my book review contributions here and on other platforms. While sitting with a book and reading is ideal, I want to try and get more books off my list by making use of the time I have while commuting or cleaning my room and other chores. One of the biggest benefits of listening to audiobooks is the listening comprehension, but I’m also interested in how sentences sound when read out loud. I think this could really help with my writing.
I know a lot of people don’t consider audiobooks to be the same as reading. To that my response is that it is all about storytelling, whether in print or audio. Plus, there are a lot of people who are visually impaired whose only option may be audiobooks, so I think it’s a little misguided to say they’re not readers or booklovers simply because they consume stories differently.
If you have experience with audiobooks I would love to know all about it! Were there benefits you realized after you tried audiobooks?
“I thought I was supposed to be good and follow the rules,” I say. “But I am done with being weak. I am done with being good. I think I am going to be something else.” ✨
I really admire Jude’s strength in character. All these fierce female protagonists in fantasy fic are what I live for 🥰 I booked my tickets for the YA events lined up for the @sydwritersfest 😍 So excited!!!
