One of my resolutions for 2019 is to read more books for pleasure. This mostly includes fantasy novels/series and books on creativity (I love a good self-help book). The first one on my list is Art and Fear, which is about confronting the fears we have as artists that prevent us from claiming our work and creating limitlessly. I’ll post more about it on my story, but in the meantime feel free to help me build my reading list with book recommendations in the comments!

What a start to 2019! Brooks had been sleeping through the night and suddenly stopped close to 4 months. Then baby boy got sick and we are getting even less sleep now. January is usually my month to catch up and make sure I have my year planned out but I’m way behind this year. I am learning a new normal with a baby and a business and it’s not always getting things done as fast as I would like but that’s okay.
Here is to a new year, new lessons and new fun adventures together. I cannot wait for our new line, some new fun blogs coming your way and SHOWS! We only did 1 show last year and we are so excited to get back into them this year.
What are you excited about in 2019?
Becoming a mom
I've always been pretty type A in my adult life when it came to my home space. I was warned so many times that my house was going to always be messy after I had a kid. I was so determined to prove those people wrong. Thinking things like, "Me? No. I can't live in filth. I won't let that happen."
When I say determined, I mean: not even 48 hours after I GAVE BIRTH, we arrived home.. and you wanna know what the first thing I did was? SWEEP THE KITCHEN FLOOR.
I was back to my regular cooking and cleaning routine in no time with a newborn. "This is so easy, I don't know what they were talking about."
Fast forward 11 months, I found myself complaining to Petee about the dang dining room table being cluttered.. again. Even though I had just cleared it off two days prior. I get it. It's literally one of the only safe spaces for our important things that Rosie can't reach... Yet. Laptops, cords, cameras, notebooks, mail.. etc. All on the table.
I take a look in our guest room. It's the only room Rosie's not allowed in. So, granted it has all the things I retired from the dining room table in it.
"All get to it later." *Her famous last words*
Happy Friday! I’m SO ready to snuggle up in bed and hide from the rain 🙈✨ #babesofmissguided
