There can never be too many scrolls!! This scrolled rebar candle holder is sure to be a talking point when you put it on the dinner table this holiday season! And what better way to put out your entrees than on this granite-topped trivet with scrolled feet. Sure, your guests love your cooking, but they’ll be even more impressed by the presentation with this pair!
Welp. Its the first thing I've made. 3/8 rebar was the stock. Pretty crappy forge at that time, and a mild steel 50 lb block for an anvil. It took so long to heat even to an orange... It took a long time.
Lets see what I can do with better tools tonight! 😀
Last weekend, @arthouse_llc had master blacksmith/sculptor @zack_leck working at the shop. The shop is limited in forging equipment for the moment, but Zack was able to modify some of our tooling to make forging a lot more efficient. He hammered out this elegant wine holder with just a few basic tools. It’s a great example of how a persons creativity and problem solving abilities are far more important than any tool in the workshop. This artist has had a great influence on me and it is an honor to call him a friend. #art#artist#collabration#eastmeetswest#blacksmith#forge#sculpture#wine#winerack#handmade

I'm giving you a sign. Two signs actually, the other one is just hidden. They are nothing fancy, but sometimes getting simple things to look good can be challenging enough. Forged out of 20mm round and a stainless steel plate for the sign. Now the signs just need a touch of paint and up they go.
