Cancelling student loans is an investment in the U.S. economy. The people who dislike this proposal don’t understand economics. This isn’t about personal responsibility it’s about the U.S. economy.
Listen to my 5-minute podcast episode. Link in my bio. I promise you’ll understand WHY it makes sense to cancel them. Give it a listen whether you agree or not. And let me know your thoughts.

BE YOUR OWN GOALS! From NASA to LAW REVIEW! Major congrats to Kenesha Sterling a 2L from South Texas College of Law Houston on her historic accomplishment! Check out her remarkable journey below 👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾
“Be it spacesuit boots, pumps, or sneakers — be sure to leave footprints in your wake.
There is a lot of pressure that comes with being the first in anything because people see you as a role model,” she said. “They wonder if you’ll fall into a certain stereotype or be better or worse than your predecessors. Most of all, you must do your best, more for those coming behind you than for yourself.
Because the reality is — if you don’t knock it out of the park — that “failure” becomes a stigma and follows everyone who looks like you. That’s a weighty but exciting opportunity.
The Law Review should be a leading resource for the legal community that reflect the world as it is today. It is not enough to be on Law Review — we have to increase our presence and open doors for all the law students who follow our stead.”

From the beginning of this journey, this has always been bigger than me. When God led me to take on the challenge of becoming an attorney, it wasn’t just about my goals. Noah and I always talked about the big plans we had for ourselves and losing him in 2015 made me work harder for him. Along the way so many people expressed how strong I was (which I greatly appreciate because it kept me motivated). But I couldn’t be anything less than that. Noah always pushed and encouraged me to be my best and that’s what I’m doing. Everything I do is in honor of my sweet brother Noah, who I know is smiling down. This video represents just a few different aspects of my life that I feel have contributed to my success. This video was shot in the Greater Third Ward where I was born and raised and attended law school. I incorporated my title of Miss Houston USA 2017 because pageants have been an essential part to my development. The people I have been blessed to work with have shaped me into the professional I have grown to be. And lastly, the football, if you really know me you know I came to law school with one goal in mind and that was to be a sports and entertainment attorney. I’ve had the pleasure of working in football since college and the passion has never changed. Since being in law school and having wonderful mentors and internships, I have grown to love other aspects of the law. Like @agentnicolelynn and so many others in this profession, I will be multi-dimensional. And like those that have inspired me, I hope to be an inspiration to others! I am just so grateful for this experience and can’t wait for the next level. We’re just scratching the surface! Thank you to alllll of my family and friends that have been on this road with me and continue to ride! Most of all thank you God 🙏🏾 🎥: @spikethedesigner & @jnaebless

I just got my #MBA degree in the mail today! My degree wall is finally complete 🎓🎓🎓 (drop a 🎓 if you’re a class of 2019 grad)
The road hasn’t been easy. I’m a first generation college graduate, who attended DC public schools. I was the ONLY African American in all of my first year law classes.
My first semester in law school #Ferguson happened. My second year I spent 18 days at the fourth precinct protecting for #JamarClark . That summer I protested at the Governor’s Mansion for #PhilandoCastile
A month before graduation, I left school for a semester after being frustrated about institutionalized racism. I realized these systems aren’t broke they weren’t creating for Black people to thrive in.
In 2018, I married my best friend and a few months later we divorced. I decided to go back to school and get what I worked my behind off for. I also became the youngest President in the history of the Minneapolis NAACP.
2019 has challenged me physically, mentally, and emotionally. It has not been easy but it was worth it. I just want to encourage everyone to keep God first and remember who you are. We are the hope and dream of the enslaved African! ✊🏾
