I have a rather busy day today. I have to get chores done: laundry, groceries and prepping food for the week ahead. I am hoping to get some reading in today. We are also going to the movies today. In honor of Saint Patrick’s Day, I am going to slow cook a corn beef so we can have sandwiches for dinner. • •
Day 12: scream
I chose the book Fiend for this prompt because scream is exactly what I did, excitedly, when I sent the author, #peterstenson a Facebook message where I fangirled hard and he took the time to reply.
This is a bloody fantastic zombie novel, very raw and dark. 👌
Good Morning!! It’s Friday.. my favorite day of the week ..lol. • •
Thank you @peer105 for tagging me to show my brand using 5 books.
When I first saw this tag, I was like I have to narrow myself down to only 5 books 😱.. but I took some time to think about it. Here are the 5 books that describe my brand. • 📚 •
The Omen by David Seltzer - Horror is my first passion. I love the suspense and edge -of - your seat - thrill that these books give me. I chose the omen because I do prefer older horror stories to many of the newer books. • •
Silence of the lambs -Thomas Hardy....
Psychological Horror, which is a subgenre if horror. Many times these books wreck havoc on my mental and emotional state.
IT - Stephen King. First of all, I agree with @peer105 that king should be a genre all its own. I love his writing style and the way he intricately develops his plots, characters and villains. He has so many different genres mixed together. You can find horror, supernatural, drama in his books. He is my favorite. • •
Angels and Demons- Dan Brown. I love a good thriller. I get a very different charge from thrillers than I do from horror because the terror is something that could happen in real life. These books sometimes frighten me more than horror. • •
Part of your world-
Disney!! I am a big Disney fan. I love the fairy tales and the magic. I read both original Disney stories and retellings of my favorite characters. A lot of times I also find a balance between the happiness of Disney and the darkness of horror. Thanks to @thedisneymonster, I now have a term for this combination (Disney Monster)
It is going be be a busy next few days for me. My oldest turned 9 today. Man, time flies! I am planning all these activities for him so that his birthday weekend is super special. I am just glad he is still small because the day he asks to drive will be a real - life nightmare 😂. • •
Have you read any of these books. I read The Nightmare Room a few months ago and can’t wait for book two. Nightmare Girl is a fairly new book and I haven’t gotten to it yet......I will 😂. • •

💭what’s a book or series that you kept thinking about for a long time after finishing it? .
Happy #socksunday in need of something new? This FANTASTIC author wrote this trilogy and I love them! It's dark with a fierce female character who becomes a undercover slave to save her sister with one of my favorite types of boy characters and un-put-down-able! (Synopsis below)
Kodiak. Raven. Wolf. Ram.
Four clans. One destiny.
Seventeen-year-old Zo is a Wolf and a Healer who volunteers to infiltrate the Ram as a spy on behalf of the allied clans. She offers herself as a Ram slave, joining the people who are called the “Nameless.” Hers is a suicide mission thought to enable her to seek revenge for the death of her parents and an end to her own misery.
But after Zo’s younger sister follows her into Rams Gate, Zo must find a way to survive and keep her safe.
