Self Care Saturday 🤗
I used to think that needing a REST day was a sign of weakness... I used to think that I had to kill myself in the gym not once but twice a day, I used to think I had to deprive myself of things I enjoy to be happy in my own skin.
I am so happy that I have found balance in my life, I have found a way to take care of myself, workout, eat healthy, enjoy my favourite foods all while living my life and spending time with those I love 💗 -
I feel like I can take on the world and accomplish anything, I can take a Saturday and enjoy a massage and a family BBQ without hating myself at the end of the day, I can go out for dinner and enjoy a glass of wine without throwing my results at the window!
It really is truly amazing when you follow your own gut and your own dreams ! -

I missed u 😭.
It’s Saturday and as always I’m working as waitress 12-22 and I never know when and how much I’ll be able eat throughout the day, that’s why my post workout meal is so big and calorie dense😅 I’m trying to eat healthier without any crazy toppings when I can plan my day.. so don’t think I always eat like this🙈 I wish 😆.
In the bowl today we have 70g oats, 1 tsp cocoa powder, 1 tsp chia seeds, cinnamon, water 💦, 50g frozen raspberries, 40g applesauce (look at the consistency it gives😍) and 40g @betteryousverige pea/oat protein powder vanilla/blueberry taste. Topped with more raspberries, two mini squares of vegan @ichoc_vegan_chocolate nougat, 1 scoop of vegan chocolate ice cream 🍦 and a drizzle of @lotusbiscoff spread because it’s a must🤤.

This last week has been hard. I've not been in the gym but twice this week. Coming off the flare I had last week and into the weekend, my energy level has been at an all time low. By the time I get home all I can do is go to bed. I've been eating as well as I can, but my appetite is almost non existent. We've been on a big job all week so that has taken a lot of energy as well as having to deal with a few other issues. I have been consistently getting in a gallon or more of water a day so that has really helped. I've been trying to stay on top of my supplements which is also helping tremendously. It's also been tough to get good sleep so I haven't had a decent night's sleep in a good two weeks. You would think I would be so tired I would just crash, but no such luck.
I have not met my goals this week and I haven't gotten nearly as much accomplished as I would like, but I have to understand that I have to get some rest and take care of my body. Sometimes weeks don't go as planned. This weekend will consist of a lot of down time and relax time. I'll definitely be getting some time in for myself to recharge and work on getting back to square one. I'll be working on feeding my mind and body well. I also have to understand that life happens for me, not to me. I am in control of using these hurdles for whatever I want. I am in control of using them for good and to learn from. I am in control of using them to further myself and others. I am in control of not allowing these hurdles to frustrate and upset me but instead see the good.
Life happens for me, not to me.
