Twinning with my littlest love on this cold Wednesday. Hard to believe this time next week Christmas will be over. I love the time leading up to Christmas so much, the anticipation and the magic is what makes it so special but when it’s over, it’s over. Does Christmas linger in your house long after the 25th or are you like me? #houseofsweeneychristmas

The dressing room has finally become clean enough for me to move some previously cramped green babies back there. Despite not purchasing many plants this year and losing quite a few to thrips over the summer, my collection feels like it’s grown from propagations and maturing alone. Plants that once fit on the living room windowsill have overstayed their welcome and are looking for new homes somewhere else in the house. This spring I’m going to have to get innovative with either high-rise shelving or hanging plants (my least favorite for watering reasons, and I’m the one person that truly dislikes macrame😬) Anyone else already planning their spring/summer plant plans?
Hydrangea seemanii ... Masses of beautiful Snow White flowers in mid too late summer ... Seemanii has two kinds of flowers , the familiar "lace caps" on long pedicels ( which are sterile ) and tiny “green flowers” in the center of each inflorescence , which are fertile and without petals ... The leaves are evergreen lush and leathery ... An incredibly vigorous climber , attaining 10-12 metres up their hosts trunks ... Hydrangea seemanii is native to the cloud forests of the Sierra Madre Occidental , in Mexico ... Hydrangea seemannii holds on too it’s host with adventitious clinging aerial roots ... If stand alone it is more shrub like , I personally prefer too grow it up a large tree ... Happy Tuesday y’all! I hope everyone had a great weekend and hope everyone accomplished everything you needed to get done. We had a small project we worked on this weekend and couldn’t be more happy on how it turned out! We built a custom Rae Dunn raised day bowl holder. If you didn’t catch it on our instastory this weekend or this sounds interesting to you, head on over to our highlights and the full tutorial is there for your convenience. Our daughter cane to pick it up yesterday and she was so happy. That of course makes us happy as well. We put it in the “Parenting Win” bucket 😂”.
Enjoy the rest of the week peeps!
Seven days to Christmas too!!
