@quirkbooks sent me their monthly bookpop box which included the book, Race me in a lobster suit: absurd internet ads & the real conversations that followed.
I’ve already read some of these and let me tell you they are bananas. This book would be perfect to read when you need a laugh.
Thanks quirk for this hilarious book!
The book i would give it to that has been written very beautifully. I must categorise it as supernatural as these girs (the protagonists) have some form of powers that way they share dreams and nightmares. There is a romance between these two...and between girls it makes the story diverse from all others in the market.
What better way to introduce myself than showing you *one* of my bookcases. I have about 6 on display in the house and about 15-20 thousand books. I literally cannot help myself.
I buy online of course but my absolute favourite pastime (apart from travel and theatre) is to find beautiful bookstores and spend hours searching through all the books. I cannot leave a bookstore without at least ten books. Hello, I’m Blondie and I’m a book addict! 😂😂

Kopenhagoje lankiausi vienoje parodoje, ir atkreipiau demesį i knygą įspūdingu viršeliu, parašytą anglų kalba. Labai sudomino tūrinio apžvalga ir nusprendžiau nusipirkti. Kaip nustebau, ir be galo apsidžiaugiau, kai pamačiau, kad knygos autorės - lietuvės🤗😇Koks malonus siurprizas🤩 #surprise#the#fox#on#the#swing#thebook#beautifulbook

Would you be an elf, dwarf, hobbit, ent, human, dragon or any other creature of Middle Earth?
Happy Tolkien Reading Day! My Book Queens blessed me with this beautiful @juniperbooks edition of Lord of the Rings for my birthday, and they made sure it got here in time for me show them off today! It’s also just in time for me to do a reread in April! I read these in elementary school and I am 95% sure I retained none of the information and just gushed over Aragon’s name (I’ve memorized the extended edition films). Thank you so much @thisdreamofmine, @read.and.wander and @readitandweep_girls!
So I would 100% be a hobbit. I would plant gardens, live in a hill, eat a lot, never wear shoes, and drink a lot of ..juice.
. @secondstarlit’s Monthly Melt for April is Tolkien-themed! So make sure to subscribe for some awesome Middle Earth smells and use FABLES10 to save! Fingers Crossed for The Shire!

What is your favorite prompt? Are you reading with us this month?
Happy Challenge Day! I refuse to believe that April is right around the corner. This year is flying by so quickly I can't even keep up! But because I am not the keeper of time, here is #BookQueensApr19 ! My favorite prompt is and probably always will be #SwapWednesday because of how much love gets spread on that day! I hope you participate this month and shout out a wonderful account!
Don't forget we are reading The Last Namsara by @kristenciccarelli for April's #BookQueensRead ! We will be doing a live discussion for this book towards the end of the month/start of the next. The date and time will be announced with plenty of time for a heads up! I hope you read with us!
Exciting news alert!
I've been discussing feeling a bit lost and how I've been in a creative slump with my Booze Book Club (hosted by the awesome @waterstonestcr) a while back and after a couple of bookish cocktails we've decided to team up and do a book challenge!
. @Bookishnerdqueen, @franklyreading and myself have created this list of prompts which is a mix of all three of our fav things and I'm super excited to get creative again - and to see what you all come up with too!
If you're interested in joining in with us make sure to tag us in and use our hashtag #BoozyBookQueensApr19 - I'll totally be doing shout outs of my fav pics each week!
@berkleypub so kindly sent me an arc of #whenweleftcuba .
I have heard a ton of amazing things about her first book, Next Year in Havana so I’m definitely planning to read that first before going into this one!
"I want to do something splendid...something heroic or wonderful that won't be forgotten after I'm dead. I don't know what, but I'm on the watch for it and mean to astonish you all someday."
- Louisa May Alcott: Little Women
What book character do you want to be best friends with?
Good morning bookish friends! I think Anne Shirley and I would be the best of friends. We’d adventure through forests and fields and have tea parties and write stories together. I’d love to hear who your bookish best friend would be!
𝚁𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚄𝚙𝚍𝚊𝚝𝚎: I’m so close to finishing A Little Princess and I’m anxiously anticipating receiving the entire Lord of the Rings series in the mail, but it says it was delivered on Saturday but isn’t here 😩 I’m so sad. I had to open up a case with the post office to investigate where the package is. Ugh!
On a better note, I was tagged forever ago by my sweet friend @stars.brite to do the #tellmeaboutyourself tag!
→ celeb crush: this is a tough one. But I love Tom Hiddleston!
→ favorite city: Portland, OR
→ favorite tv show: The Office
→ scared of: snakes and spiders
→ country you’d like to visit: Japan!
Have a fabulous Tuesday friends! At least it’s not Monday anymore! 😜
As soon as I heard @berkleypub was coming out with a luxuriously magical retelling of Beauty and the Beast it went immediately on my radar! And if audiobooks 🎧 are your thing than you’ll definitely want to preorder this one bc Jim Dale will be narrating it. The Beast’s Heart is set in seventeenth-century France told from the point of view of the Beast himself and said to be a surprising novel filled with peril, darkness, romance and beauty 🙌🏻
This book hits the shelves February 12th - I am very excited that not only was Lauren at @berkleypub amazing enough to send me a copy but I am also partnering with them to GIVEAWAY a copy to one of you!

You know those books you start reading and 10 pages in you just KNOW you’re going to love?? Once Upon a River is one of those books. I’m so thankful that @atriabooks#partner sent me a copy to review! It’s so beautifully written and atmospheric and has this whimsical storytelling quality to it that’s hard to describe and even harder to achieve. Crossing my fingers that I can finish it before the end of the year 🤞🏻 because I could see this one being a sure fire favorite. Friends, have you read this one yet?? What are your thoughts!?

What mythical world would you rule?
Long time no see, book dragons! I am finally settled into my own place (mostly) and I am able catch up with my favs (that’s y’all)! I am super sore tho and, also, sad because 3/4ths of my books are in boxes for the next few months. My beautiful baby books... I feel so... incomplete without them 😭
So I would def rule Ravka! I love the Grisha world so much! And of course that means my husband would be/is Nikolai soOoOoOoOoOoooo..
Over-used words: ANYTHING ROYAL. King. Queen. Kingdom. Empire. Princess. Prince. You name it, it’s over-used. But I wouldn’t give up my royal-titled books for anything!
