Inverted rows are hard 😅 but hoping to do them straight legged soon but for now I will modify 😏
Don’t let modifying your workout discourage you, you are working on your body! It takes time, consistency, and discipline to get where you want to be 💪🏼
A: Absolutely! Often diabetics are advised to avoid sugary drinks because they raise your glucose levels. wanu is a great beverage alternative, since it’s SUGAR FREE, packed with FIBER + is LOW IN CARBOHYDRATES! Each bottle is naturally sweetened with a monk fruit blend, boosts just 4g carbohydrates per serving + most importantly contains 6g of dietary fiber per bottle, helping diabetics control blood sugar levels. wanu is a not only a healthier choice to stay hydrated, but also great for achieving the daily fiber intake of 25-50 grams as recommended by the American Diabetes Association. #wanu101#worlddiabetesday

😳 Why I Don’t Like Means Plans.
👺 Meal Plans are Mean Plans
They don’t teach you anything about food.
I can’t tell you what to eat because I’m not inside your body.
I don’t know how spinach makes you feel. Spinach can be good for me and bad for you. Maybe it bloats you. I can’t add it to a blanket meal plan.
It’s all about creating your own meal plan. About becoming your own nutritionist. Your meal plan should consist of all the foods you’ve found you tolerate really well.
So after a few months you now have a list of all of these foods you do well with and others you don’t do well with.
Eat most of your yearly calories from the category you do well with and pay attention to your total caloric intake of those foods. Figure out in which macro ratios you feel best eating.
No matter what anyone tells you, you can gain fat by eating 100% of your calories from nutrient dense food.
Prioritize how food makes you feel over trying to lose weight and fat and you’ll do get much better results.
There’s a chance you’ll see 0 results when you do it the other way around.
🎵Lose You Too - SHY Martin (Severo Remix)
Everything begins in your mind. With the right mindset, you will succeed. Eliminate the mindset of “can’t” because you can do anything. The body achieves what the mind believes. 💗
We are all busy. We all have excuses. We want to change but sometimes we don't want to put forth the effort that is needed. We want the easy and quick way to things in life. But you know what? There is no easy or quick way! Nothing worth having comes easy. You gotta work for it. Yes it will take time but it will be worth it! Easy, quick fixes don't work.. maybe short term but not long term.
If you change nothing, nothing will change. You have to want to change more than you want to stay the same.
Every day is a new day to change your life. You don't have to be perfect. It’s about progress, not perfection. Stop hating yourself for everything you aren't and start loving yourself for everything that you are. 😊
Day 47! My least favorite workout. It is one of the hardest workouts for me. I am happy that I don’t have to do that workout anymore and that I gave it my all and kicked butt! 💪🏻
Have you ever asked yourself how you needed to dress up in the morning ? ⠀
No, not how you WANTED to dress up.
How you NEEDED to dress up.
Do you know why ?
Because we live in a world where 100% of women have been a victim of street harassment.
And you know the worst part ?
We blame women for it.
We tell them they should not have provoked him.
When all they are guilty of, was wearing an outfit they liked.
The outfit is not even the problem.
I have been harassed wearing a skirt.
I have also been harassed wearing a huge sweater & a tracksuit.
We don’t need to change.
Men need to behave ✋🏼
Tu n’as pas à te changer.
I’ve dealt with chronic neck pain since grad school (probably as a result of too much time spent hunched over textbooks 📚), and I’m always looking for new ways to find relief. I'd heard about @pranamat before + I was super excited to try one of their acupressure mats + pillows! I’ve been using it before bed for the past few weeks + I’m surprised at how good it feels. It’s kind of painful at first (the good kind of pain), but after a few minutes, it helps to soothe the aches in my shoulders + neck. The little spikes on the mat press into your muscles, increasing circulation (hence the red back), and releasing endorphins. I love the tingly feeling it gives, and I really find that it relieves some of that tension + stress that so many of us hold onto in our necks, shoulders + lower back 💆🏻♀️. Have you guys tried @pranamat before?! I love this new addition to my bedtime routine ✨ #pranamat#sponsored

Time for a change. ⚠️
For those who know how I like to work out, you know I go ‘in’ each session and for long periods of time. I’ve been working out like this since I began university. So for 5 years now. However, within the last year I’ve been hitting the wall with it all. 🤕
Recent revelations have proven this method to be working AGAINST my body now, rather than for it.
I’ve been dumb to the red flag signs my body has been shouting out at me, and now it’s time to change before I cause anymore damage. . .
I definitely won’t be giving up my HIIT and long cardio sessions, as I do really enjoy them. But I’ll for sure decrease the amount I do, to the amount that feels right. And grace my body’s burning desire to stretch, elongate and just slow it all down a notch. 🧘🏼♀️
I’m certainly guilty of just pushing through the pain/fatigue, with the strong mentality ‘no pain no gain’. Working out despite barely being able to move properly because of how stiff my muscles are. I thought this was how you were meant to exercise to get the best results. Turns out this method actually results in chronically high levels of cortisol in your body. And a quick google of cortisol will explain why this is so bad... ☠️☠️
I’m writing this out because I feel that with us all so engrossed by the crap on this app, we feel unbelievably pressured to live up to the standards that ‘fitness’ and ‘health’ influencers are gracing our feed with on a daily basis. And with the recent Victoria’s Secret show too, I bet the majority of girls are pushing themselves even harder in the gym and with their diet. 😔
My message here is please please listen to your body. I haven’t, and I’ve caused problems that are going to take a while to reverse. Your body really is the best messenger for what you should be doing for it. And I stupidly never listened. Don’t feel guilty for doing what FEELS right, even if that means snoozing your alarm and missing that 6am spin class. 🤗💛
I could write about this way more but I’ll stop here for now...
Flourish not punish 😝🦋🌻.
