Our Leaf Mold Compost is so much sweeter than it may sound. Here is some photos of the biological process. This is one of the best fungal dominated foods you can feed your soil and is packed with macro and micro nutrients. We use it as a sustainable peat alternative in our soil mixes as well in teas and mulch. We offer it in 3 grades and each are well composted. As it decomposes, it turns into a rich black humus. There is a difference in fungal and bacterial dominated composts and each will suit certain plants better than others. If we think about how plants grow in their natural habitat then we can examine what types of organic material are they used to growing in and around.

Have you ever wondered what is going on in your intestines?

Kids these days typically grow up frightened of these microorganisms. How do we change that narrative? We need our bacteria buddies to help us! Well, I think we finally have a great bacteria lesson to go along with our other FBI (fungus, bacteria, and invertebrates) friend lessons in our compost unit. There are only two fluids in the body - blood and lymph.

Stomach acid aka HCL (Hydrochloric Acid)
This plays a vital role in digestion and is very important within our body. HCL is essential for being able to metabolise and breakdown proteins from our diet. It achieves this by activating pepsinogen into an enzyme called pepsin, which we can then utilise and helps break the bonds of the protein down into smaller chains of amino acids.
Another preventative method it also aids towards is the elimination of pathogens or bacterial unknowingly ingested by us. This is done using the gastric juice which can fight against these harmful organisms.
