I took this picture of Emma a few days ago. It looks like spring everywhere in Kaunas, only right by the river there is still snow and ice and I instantly fell in love with the mood of it. It’s such a simple coloring and composition and yet, it has something magical about it. It’s just her, sweet and fragile, with her little stardust soul that gives her so much charisma and a hunger for the wild.
That is also the reason why I chose this picture as an entry for the @_rheintau_ modelsearch. I’ve been following your account for a while now and I get tempted to order something every time you post. Originally Emma and I are from Neuss, Germany (I study in Lithuania at the moment, but we visit my parents and friends in Neuss quite often), which is why we feel right at home when we see your products. We love walking by the Rhein and dipping our feet in the water in summer, it connects me to my best childhood memories and I enjoy being able to share that with Emma.
She is a one and a half year old miniature poodle lady and my absolute dream of a dog! We are very active together, loving hiking and dog sports and even biking when we get the chance. Since she is tiny, it’s easy for me to take her on my travels, but if she could choose we would go camping year round.
We haven’t been on Instagram for long, but we enjoy the community, having a platform to be creative and share our pictures and stories. For me, Rheintau is a connection to home and every single product is just beautiful, which is why I would love to make our adventures safer with them and show those people out there some amazing pictures of it! #ichwillinsteamrheintau
Love and greetings,
Emma and Julia ☼

I would love to know from anyone willing to answer, what’s your favorite breed of dog? Not necessarily what breed you would own but just your favorite, I would probably have to say I loveee Catahoula leopard dogs!

Incase you haven't heard, I dislocated my shoulder a couple of days ago, so I'm taking it easy & thought I'd reshare this post from @mark_and_myas_adventures as I thought it had some pretty important information in it.
On Sunday Mya & I had a big day. We went for a backcountry ski adventure at Mt McPherson also known as The Fingers. It's about a 15 minute drive out of Revelstoke, BC.
We parked our Jeep at the McPherson Nordic Club (There is a $6 fee towards the car park up keep). From the car park Mya & I ski toured to the base of the Fingers. I think each time we have been, we have seen atleast one other group with a dog.
The two of us skined to the highest point we had been together & then skied back down in some pretty good powder.
Heading into the backcountry is beautiful & creates some great opportunities to really experience mountains the way they naturally are. It also gives us the opportunity for Mya to join me, which is huge for us, as almost all the snow covered areas where you can ski in Australia are National Parks & prohibit dogs from being there.
If your interested in giving ski touring a go whilst visiting Revelstoke, Skookum can rent you all the touring gear you need.
I do want to point out that heading into the backcountry with, or without a dog is serious. Last winter I was lucky enough to particpate in a guiding course run by Revelstoke Backcountry Guides, who taught me some of the skills involved in safely travelling in the backcountry.
Before leaving, we checked the Avalanche Canada forecast & put together a plan. Mya & I didn't travel alone & we both had avalanche beacons (Mya has a special dog specific beacon, made by Black Diamond / Pieps that operates on a different frequency than normal beacons as not to impact the search for other people). There is a lot more involved in such a trip, so if your interested I highly recommend that you do atleast an Avalanche Safety Training course & partner up with some people with backcountry experience.
Do you ever head into the backcountry?
Let me know what you think and if you have any questions?
It was SNOWING all day today! In Tucson! Arizona! I was unfortunately at work all day (a prison never looked so pretty 😂) but it was almost nonstop snow from 7 am until around 2-3 pm. I may have had a snowball fight or two with coworkers and played in the snow like a child. But seriously, it was SO cool! I can’t remember the last time it actually snowed so much here. I’m sad that I had to work but it definitely made the day enjoyable. Nothing was cooler than seeing the snow fall all day and cover everything in white! ❄️

Now I cannot treecall but I beleaf I had the weirdest tream last night where I was king of the forest! Or maybe it was true...!
Another snow day in Arizona! I think it almost beat the dog beach days we had for Christmas. Atlas got to play in the snow and the lake! 😂 I didn’t think she would run and jump in, but alas, she did. A different day for sure, but amazing nonetheless with these three! Need to get us some warmer coats! 🧥 #snowdog#snowday#arizona#bordercollie#jackrussell#littlemutt
