The only thing that Eloise likes more than water is being chased....any guesses what she is running away from? ⠀
We like to call this version of this game “monster daddy-shark edition” 🦈 ⠀
My beautiful god-daughter Elan and Eloise couldn’t get enough of this, and gleeful screams filled the beach 🏖 ⠀
On a side note I would probably run from TJ as well. I don’t know what is more frightening, his creepy water bobbing or his full set of water bangs. 😂🤷🏻♀️

Travel can be hyperlocal too. Going somewhere new in your neighborhood or going to a usual place in a new way is exciting!
These #cousins rode to @brixxpizza 🍕 and had ice cream 🍦 at @thepeachstandsc and biked 🚴🏽♂️🚴🏾♀️ home before the rain came down. A total of 4.4 miles!
Don't be discouraged if an out of town trip is out of your range right now. There are little gems hiding all around you! Grab a bike, hop on the bus, walk in a new direction and travel hyperlocal - you'll never know what you could find just around the corner.
Day 195: Good planning paid off again! Kravice Falls in southern Bosnia is a place you need to get to early in order to experience its full beauty before the crowds arrive.
Thinking we're running late, we turned up to the carpark at 8.30am after a 40min drive from Mostar, to find that we are only the 3rd car there and not a bus in sight 😉
The falls are quite something to see and the beautiful huge pool is a great spot to cool down on a hot day. Being there early we were very lucky to get the lookout spots to ourselves and admire the clear water pool and numerous falls without anyone else fighting for space. However, by 10.30am when we were leaving there were people everywhere in the pool and on the banks and more arriving by the minute!
I was feeling pretty terrible on this campout but it was worth it to see all the fun you and your brothers had. The campground was crowded and you found friends to play with along with the friends that we had with us. For some reason you were obsessed with the showers and made me take you both nights we were there. This is the place that you finally learned to use a squat toilet all by yourself, which in Japan is a must! #japan#camping
“ Time is precious waste it wisely.” ✨ Watching the sunset together as a family in the blue green waters of the Gulf on a mostly empty beach was nothing short of magic and a moment that will always be treasured. ✨We came for fun but instead we left thankful and filled with wonder and awe. Experiences > things. 🌱✈️🌎 #allourcolors#rootsandwings#travelwithkids
There’s something about going to the airport and seeing the aeroplanes waiting for their passengers, suddenly your holiday feels very real!
I was so excited to take Leo up here; it’s the observatory deck at the Virgin Lounge in Heathrow. You can sit and watch the planes land and take off. You feel close to the action and it’s loud!
Whenever I’m at the airport I always wonder what my life will be like next time I’m here. Last time we came to Heathrow Ronnie and I were on our own, I think we were flying to San Francisco for a California road trip and had recently got engaged. A few years later we’re back, married and have Leo and Logan!
What was your circumstance the last time you went to the airport and would it be different now?
#tbt#portodegalinhas 🔛”Teve caminhar à beira mar c/ a Sofia p/pegar conchinhas enquanto o marido descansava na rede e a Ana Luisa dormia no carrinho.”🔙
#viagemcomgemeos#travelwithkids#travelwithtwins#instatravel#twins#twinmother#twinfather#letchildrenbechildren#letchildrenbefree#maternidadereal

Sioux Falls, South Dakota is so much more than a stop on the way to Mt. Rushmore. Great restaurants, emerging arts scene and lots of neat outdoor activities.
Our favorite is Falls Park! A 123 acre park with a cafe, sculptures, farmers market and, of course, the falls.
If you plan to visit Sioux Falls make sure you stop at Falls Park. You & your family will LOVE it! #siouxfalls#southdakota#familytravels#travelblogger#fallspark
Life on the Bowron Lakes was peaceful and playful. The kids napped and snacked to their own rhythms. Hours of sitting sparked creativity and with each passing day our minds grew used to the slower pace of life.

If you’re travelling with children, it’s likely you’ll at least have aimed to arrive at the airport in plenty of time for your flight. Whether you manage to achieve it is another question!
There is lots of space to move around at the airport, but if like us your navigating a double pram, carry-on luggage and a toddler, a busy airport is stressful. We were able to use the Virgin Atlantic Lounge which made all the difference. Our holiday mood starts once we drive to the airport and we like to make the most of it!
My husband and I have flown before and had to queue for tables in a restaurant to have something to eat. This is not something that will help our holiday mood with a hungry toddler, or even when we travelled with a baby on its own, therefore we’ve always opted to pay to use a lounge. They have their own toilets, plenty of space to leave the pram/ for the toddler to move around in and most importantly food readily available with tables and highchairs. If you haven’t used a lounge before and are considering flying, I would highly recommend you do, there is a number available normally at airports for different price points.
On our walk around Heathrow Airport we did stumble across a children’s play area with soft play, interactive toys, sensory room, nursing room, baby changing facilities, colouring activities, vending machines and seating. There were no windows in this area thou, it was very hot, we didn’t want to stay long. With a different temperature I would recommend a visit and I would now actively google ahead of time to see what facilities they had at an airport for children as we would have easily missed it.
The Virgin Atlantic lounge at Heathrow is my favourite. The team members are wonderful, food always quick and delicious and for the first time we’ve made full use of the children’s room, Leo spent most of the time hiding in the cupboard – can you see his feet?
How do you kill the time from arriving at the airport and boarding the plane?
Lifeguard attire is a bit different in Iceland 😂 STOP what you are doing and check out the blog today for tips on visiting the Blue Lagoon! It is a must do on any visit to Iceland ❄️ Link in bio

Today marks the start of our adventure.
We’d booked our flight the day before, making this the most spontaneous trip we’d ever been on with children. A normal day out for us would require more than a days’ notice! As crazy as doing this sounds, it really helped me, I overthink, and I worry – there was no time to do either!
A 3.45pm flight to New York I felt would be the best timing for Leo (19 months), Logan (5months) and us. We wouldn’t have to get up early to leave the house, which when your knee deep in sleep deprivation, every extra 30 minutes sleep you can get helps! 1.5 hours we allowed to reach London Heathrow airport with traffic, we’d then arrive in plenty of time for lunch, hopefully a nap (sadly only the boys not us) and Leo would be able to walk around before the nearly 8-hour flight.
I find my babies are unpredictable (I’d anticipated Leo would nap in the car and he didn’t) and the airport is a busy new environment. I have toys to hand, I’ve organised my bags, I have spare outfits ready, snacks and a variety of toys to occupy them if needed. I didn’t change Logan into his outfit for the day until we arrived at the airport, this enabled us to leave the house sooner than expected and not need another change on arrival!
I’d been on several flights with Leo last year, I knew the challenges with security and baby’s bottles and this time I took ready-made formula for the plane. I’ve taken formula on the plane in pots before and brought formula at duty free. The easiest thing I’ve found was the ready-made bottles that are recycled once used. I pack any liquids into a clear bag (one for me and one for the changing bag) before we leave home. I didn’t fill Leo’s Sippy cup with water until after security, again removing a challenge.
You never know how your baby is going to be at the airport, or how long the security line will be. The quicker you can get through security the better. The more time you leave yourself the better, things won’t go to plan. Remember your going on holiday, your taking children, just go with the flow and enjoy the chaos!
What did you find worked for you navigating airport security?
Have you ever gone Lighthouse hopping on the coast? Our family loves lighthouses and while visiting Cape Cod we explored several! Do you recognize this one ?! It is the lighthouse that is featured on the front of the Cape Cod potato chip bag!!!! We love learning fun things about the places we are visiting! 🌱✈️🌎 #allourcolors#travelwithkids
I can’t decide who has the more impressive form here?! This kid could spin “zip” as she calls it for hours and hours. Thank goodness it is a “ask daddy to do it thing” so I am always off the hook!

Childhood is a short season but a significant season nonetheless. We like to retrace our own steps often and bring our children along to places that we went to as kids. My husband visited this waterfall as a kid with his grandparents and we had a few hours of this fairytale like forest and waterfall to ourselves for a few hours one Sunday afternoon! ✨ Do you take your kids places that you went to as a child ?! 🌱✈️🌎 #allourcolors#rootsandwings
Yay! One more week of school holidays! ..
We love school holidays as it means time with family and friends, no school lunches (ok, that's why MUM likes school holidays) and LOTS of exploring!
What have your kids been up to these school holidays?
Throwback to last weekend on our sweet summer staycation! Can someone deliver me some frozen macarons and ice cream? 🍨 We enjoyed the yummiest poolside menu at the @omnihoustonhotel called the “Summer of Passion Fruit.” Not your ordinary pool menu- so many amazing culinary creations infused with the bright, fresh flavors of passion fruit. Visit an @omnihotels property this summer to experience it for yourself! More details on my latest blog post (link in profile)! #ad#attheomni#omni#omnihotel#staycation#poolside
Ok guys, I promise, this is my last ‘travel blog post’ from our recent long flight to India in May 😅 or atleast until we are on an another long adventure 🤗. I have been having so much fun sharing all my travel stories, it’s like reliving all those funny, crazy and tired moments once again 😂. I wanted to be able to share all my learnings from our trip of flying with a toddler in an organized way so that it’s easier for any parent scouting through my blog to clearly know what they are looking for and not get overwhelmed with a lot of information (because traveling with kids does take a lot of planning beforehand to handle the different parts of the journey like the stuff you would require for kids while on the go, toys/ activities, food and a lot more 🙃)
This would be my last blog post and it’s my favorite - it’s listing out my ‘top 9 travel products’ that had played a great role for us in having a stress-free journey with Mishika. Be it umbrella stroller, backpack leash for toddler, flight seat organizer my list has it all. All these products came in super handy on our long 28 hours international flight ✈️ - link in bio 💕
If you have missed my previous two travel blogs posts you can find them on the totallymomsense website - ‘flight entertainment toys/activities for toddler) & ‘how I organized my diaper bag for our long flight’

🌟Have you ever visited a place that exceeded your expectations?
Bonn is always overlooked with the more popular cities as Dusseldorf and Cologne nearby, people usually only come for the cherry blossoms street. I must say that Bonn is really worth exploring, as the whole city looks like this, the buildings are so beautiful and colourful, I have never seen a German city like this. Bonn is the most beautiful German city I've visited yet!
Thanks for the likes and comments on the post with this picture before, without any captions! I can't believe you did that haha. It was automatically published while I was still on my way home from Turkey.
for a little insight of our life and travels🚀
