The plotting books were out today ✨🤗 And not pictured, “Save the Cat writes a Novel” by @jessicabrody 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 — a new favorite recommended by my friend @wendyledgerauthor. Lilac’s 4th book, “Lilac Skully and the Thousand Year Storm” is officially underway! ✨💙🌊🌙
Recent purchases.... from Ella Risbridger’s Midnight Chicken to forensic science and walled gardens via @me_and_orla’s Instagram book in the hope that it will help me up improve how I use this platform and a biog of Mary Shelley.... Writing is so hard. It's even more difficult when we beat ourselves up over something that doesn't exist: perfection.
Your first draft won't be perfect.
None of the drafts after that will be perfect either.
All you can do is write the book you want to read, and that begins with telling yourself the story.
What are you waiting for? Go! Write!

Thursday Cottage make delicious jams and curds including a chocolate and orange curd 🍫🍊 and a coffee curd ☕️ that I could eat forever. 😍
It was also pretty great for foody book research, and I’m slightly disappointed that I’ve just handed my edits for The Cornish Cream Tea Bus in. I’m storing it all up for the next book though! 📖
