Today there will be two Opinions of Teams (OATs) cause yesterday I wasn’t able to simply due to being too tired. Yesterday was the first time I missed a day, even at 2 am, since I started the series so I feel like we’ve been pretty consistent. Anyways, for yesterday’s (August 17) OAT, we have the Atlanta Hawks. Of all the teams in the NBA, the Hawks are a headliner whenever the term “rebuild” is used. Probably a lottery team for the next three seasons, I don’t expect the Hawks to be playoff ready any time soon. They already have two promising players in Taurean Prince and John Collins. This year’s draft was a major game changer for them, getting Omari Spellman (who @ronnie2k refused to do a rating for; yeah sure maybe next year my butt), sharpshooter Kevin Huerter, and a hit or miss in Trae Young, whom they got along with a 2019 first rounder in exchange for Luka Doncic on draft night (which by the way I feel they will heavily regret). Anyways, they got rid of Dennis Schroder, who went through legal problems last year and also was in the way of Trae Young’s minutes. I saw reports of the Hawks saying Dennis would be a great role model and thought that was funny the Hawks must want Trae in jail😂 Anyways, in turn they got their best player in their franchise history in Carmelo Anthony, WHO DIDN’T MISS A SINGLE SHOT😱 They soon bought out Carmelo after five days with the team simply because he was too good for them, and they are trying to tank so it wouldn’t make sense for Carmelo to carry them to the finals. Therefore, there young guys will work for now as part of a rebuilding team that hopes to be serious competitors in five to eight years. Other notable additions his offseason include Jeremy Lin via trade, Vince Carter on a one year, Alex Len on a two year deal, and Justin Anderson part of the three-team trade. Overall, the Hawks really didn’t have that bad of an offseason, adding young rotation pieces and veteran presence for a young team looking to succeed 🦅

RepostBy @24baze: "“Stop and smell the roses” Unreal moment for me today. Lots of feels. “We are more fulfilled when we are involved with something greater than ourselves” quote by John Glenn that I live by. I challenge myself to live by example for the places of the world that don’t get the exposure, kids that grow up behind the 8 ball. Regardless of what walk of life you come from it’s hard out here. I stay true to my roots and my hometown confirmed that for me today. You see it... est. 1989 ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 #Grateful #252

Spellman is ready-made for the pace-and-space pro game after he spent two years at Villanova. No team in college basketball had a more NBA-like approach than the Wildcats, and Spellman was more important to their success than his numbers, 10.9 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
The Hawks are getting an excellent spot-up shooter who can score from three levels. Spellman is also well-equipped defensively for the modern game. He is able to defend multiple positions and play both the 4 and 5. He has a skill set that should keep him in the league a long time🔥
What do you think? Will he be a great big in this league?🤔
Agree or Disagree? 😂
The Players you don't know:
