NEW HOA ARTISTS NEWS ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We are so excited and proud to announce our newest HOA artist - This ones a bit special. Introducing the work of Mr Simon Dixon.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Simon was an old Brightonian friend of ours and an inspiration to Ben in the early days of his career - it is an honour to have Simons work as part of our collection.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Simon sadly passed away in 2017 so being part of ensuring his work lives on in the world is extra special for us. We willl be posting new work everyday this week from his collection.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Dixons work is influenced by pop art, cartoon characters and comic icons. Dixon was influential in his style and his paintings are the perfect match for HOA as they are bold, vibrant, unpretentious and desirable. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Back to the blues while in the middle of a few new workssss.
I just adore these colours🐳
Just started working on another Love Letters Ring w/ an 18k gold rose for @leociriaco. I am customizing this ring with the word LOVE and the names of his wife and children. I can’t wait until he gets this ring!!!
A lot of work and craftsmanship goes into my work.

Bringing myself out of hibernation today inspired by the fabulous #butterflyranunculus at @avaflora !.
I love what I do, but even I have to push myself into sometimes. It really got me thinking about the barriers we all face to get into a creative mindset. Here's a little confession for you -- I hate keeping sketchbooks. Always have. I would still draw and sketch all the time and I think it's important to work out ideas, practice and play. But there's something about an actual bound book that brings out the perfectionist in me and I get paralyzed trying to make each page perfect. I'm always worried about "messing" up a page and start ripping things out if I don't like something. So I started using old scraps of paper or just pulling out single pages from a pad that I just keep in a folder. It's amazing how that one little change brings so much freedom and allows me to really let go and focus on the process rather than the end result. .
What do you find is your biggest obstacle to getting started?

" #Streetmarket Series lll"
The heart of marketplaces is the familiar local vendors in the midst of ongoing atmosphere of beautiful chaos. No floor layout, no building with special architectural highlight whatsoever; it's endearing entirely since personal encounter with common people of various trade raise the value of appreciation and interaction between buyers and sellers. A delightful alternative to a world of manufactured food and heavily marketed retailing. My fascination for these vibrant space full of multitude characters, sights, sounds and smells drives this on-going series.
