Meet Steuart Padwick, director of @steuartpadwick.
British Designer Steuart Padwick is known for his warm, witty and sculptural designs. He is a designer of furniture, lighting and products for domestic and contract spaces with the aim of producing pieces that both fit the needs of people’s lives and enhance their modern environments. Steuart collaborates with many international retailers and manufacturers including The Conran Shop, Heals, Benchmark, CB2, Land of Nod and Made.com. His designs have been supplied to corporate offices such as Twitter as well as hotel and restaurant projects. He also produces one off commissions – including Nursery furniture for Princess Charlotte and Prince George. Steuart was the first designer to work with Made.com in 2010 and is still their best-selling designer. Founding CEO Ning Li was asked in 2016 which was his favourite piece of furniture on Made.com; “The Steuart Padwick Stroller desk will always have a special place with me. It was one of the first items we sold on MADE.COM. Originally the desk designed by Steuart Padwick was for sale for a high cost and people loved it but no one could afford it. We took the desk, deconstructed it and created a version for under £400 and it continues to be a best seller to this day”.
Steuart’s designs have been nominated for and won numerous awards and frequently features in leading publications around the world from FX, Elle Deco, Living Etc, It’s Nice That to the FT, The Telegraph, The Times and New York Times.
Steuart Padwick has had representation in Chicago since 2012 to work with the US and Canadian markets.
