Last year, my anxiety was so bad that my entire body hurt. The only thing that would ease the pain was taking long, hot baths. I’d dabbled in essential oils for a long while, and began adding them and bath salts to my steamy heaven. Then I discovered aromatherapy candles... then I learned there were crystals that could go into the tub! I was creating an experience for myself and it helped so very much. However, after a gifted and treasured piece of Carnelian was eroded by bath salts I decided to curate a crystal set specifically for this purpose. The Crystal Basic Combo is a good starter set, but it’s not put together of high grade crystals. They of course contain all the Metaphysical properties of each crystal, but they’re not showcase pieces. They’re your crystal bath time friends. This gift set includes a clean burning and sustainable lead-free wick aromatherapy candle in Radiance scent (tangerine and Ylang Ylang), one Crystal Basic Combo (one piece each of tumbled clear quartz, amethyst, rose quartz, Carnelian, aquamarine, citrine and smoky quartz), a sample size Method body wash, and a big poofy loofah. 🧡 Available now I’m shop (Link in bio). #bathritualtherapy
A bit of jewelry history courtesy of @christiesjewels: The Art Deco period was marked by a celebration of geometric patterns and adventurous use of color. These elements, combined with a heavy use of platinum, provided a sharp contrast from the sinuous and organic style of the proceeding Art Nouveau era. In the 1930s, Cartier London used bright, variously sized aquamarines to create some of their most noteworthy and intricate designs. Along with interest in earrings, rings and bracelets, the London branch received 27 requests for aquamarine and diamond tiaras in 1937 alone. Many of these tiaras were worn to the coronation of King George VI that same year.
This @cartier tiara-necklace set with rectangular, hexagonal, square and circular-cut aquamarines, circular and baguette-cut diamonds mounted on platinum dates from ca. 1935 and will go under the hammer at an estimate of $70,000-100,000 at the Magnificent Jewels sale in New York on December 5.
