Allow me to introduce you to the latest addition to the menagerie: Carinotetraodon Travancoricus. AKA Pea Puffer, Pygmy Puffer, Malabar Puffer. A tiny 3cm (3.5cm is the record) freshwater puffer fish originally from SW India. While endangered in its native range, they are now being regularly bred in captivity, so hopefully they'll come back.
I haven't given it a name, or assumed its gender yet. Peter Puffer is a definite no. It'll come, or it won't.
Anyway, it's a carnivore, and likes to eat snails. 🙈 I put it in the Snail Farm, where I hope it will help control the population, rather than me pulling them out and throwing them into a flower pot as fertiliser. 🤣 We'll see.
Aqua garden...it’s a thing! I think they call it aquascaping.
Couple of plants from the pet shop sitting in rocks and water...I had to buy plant food too - who knew there was such a thing!
Not sure if this will be a short-lived fad...testing it out to see how long the plants stay alive and how often I have to clean out the jar but it’s pretty for now 👍🏻
