Ways to Make Time for Exercise and Nutrition
Almost everybody knows how to get in shape. Eating healthier and exercising more. However, when life gets busy you might wonder how you can do those things and fit it into your life.
1. Ask Yourself Why - Asking yourself why is a great way to motivate yourself initially to prioritize over other things. Figure out the deep reason why you want to be healthier and in shape.
2. Identify Your Priorities - Figured out your priorities, and once you do, see where fitness and eating healthy falls into there and how much time you can dedicate to it.
3. Put Appointments Into Your Calendar - Once that is decided, look at your calendar and put in when you can work out and on which day. Remember, if it's not on your calendar, it's not official and chances are, it ain't happening.
4. Slowly Replace Habits - Take a look at some not so habits you currently have in your life and slowly begin to replace them with healthier ones. If you're ordering burgers and fries at fast food restaurants, try their healthier alternatives. Spending all night binging on #Netflix and #Hulu? Stop an episode short of your show and get an extra hour of sleep instead.
5. Meal Prep on Weekends - Want to eat healthier? Then be in control of your food. Spend a little bit of time on the weekends preparing some healthy foods to take with you to work or have ready once you get home after a long day.
6. Review At the End of the Week - At the end of each week, take a look at what you've done and see if you used your time wisely to support your health and fitness goals. If so, awesome! Keep up the good work and see how you can improve by a little bit. If not, then see what went wrong this week and focus on overcoming the same roadblocks.
