One of my favorite activities is to go antiquing with my mom.
It’s something we have been doing together since I was a little girl and it always brings me comfort and happiness 🤗
It was one of “those” days today...this morning I woke in crippling anxiety. The kind you don’t know why the heck it’s happening or how to get rid of it. My mom knew exactly what was needed and thank goodness she did! What a great day we had together digging and finding treasure 🙃 I can’t wait to style all my amazing new pieces and post some new pics for you all this week! Here’s to the mamas who know their babies better than we know ourselves some days and to amazing adventures that end in new home decor pieces ❤️ .
We are thinking of these tables today, as we are so thankful for all our clients who are so inspiring and supportive of this rewarding work we are blessed to do. This pair of tables belongs to a special couple who have traveled the world and picked up many pieces along the way, each piece with a unique story, many of which they have shared with us. A war Veteran, this man had purchased these tables overseas, disassembled them and carried them on his back, eventually home. When we first saw them, they were water damaged, sun faded and scratched from many years of good use. We refinished them, and were excited to see the beauty that was underneath all those years. Just today, we received a call from these special folks with another project for us, a cedar chest handmade by her father over 100 years ago. Looking forward to it greatly, as well as many more years of this great work...blessings to you & happy weekend!
