Picked up Sometimes I Lie - thanks @resting.book.face for letting me borrow it! She says it’s good, you guys!! 📖
Idk about you all, but if I were in a coma and could hear everything around me, I would freak out!! Gives me anxiety just thinking about that happening. Do you feel the same?

Did Layne and I tell you that we are currently writing separately? We are still promoting RU together and talk daily, but we are running with our own ideas currently.
My grandfather died two years ago in January, and I started writing something back then. I put it down for a good long while. Grandma died a year ago in February and I decided it was time, with Layne’s encouragement, to pick it back up. It’s been fun, scary, and exciting to make space to continue writing and see where this story leads.
As a single mom, finding time is difficult. If you swipe left through the photos you will see the state of my house but I decided to not care. I’ve been using all my “free time” to work on financial stuff #adulting and since most of that is all done I decided to let the housework slide and sit down to write. - Lindsay 💕 #blakeandbeckner
Things That Fall From the Sky practically fell out of the sky to me. I got a copy from the LibraryThing Early Reviewer program. Lucky me!
Selja Ahava is a Finnish author. She won the EU Prize for Literature for this book about three people whose lives are changed forever by random events – a block of ice falling out of the sky, winning the lottery, and lightning.
It looks great and it will count as a Finnish book for my European Reading Challenge, which I host on my Rose City Reader blog. I don’t think I’ve read a Finnish book before.

My month of reading women continues with this book: the autobiography of Nancy Wake, the woman the Gestapo called The White Mouse.
I know historical WWII fiction novels are having a bit of A Moment(TM) right now, but for me they will always pale in comparison to real-life accounts. This isn’t a “literary” read, it’s not an artistic triumph - Nancy Wake was a spy for the resistance, not a writer! - but I loved it nonetheless. I was so grateful that this incredible woman took the time to tell us her incredible story, in her own words. My review is up on the blog now, link in bio.
QOTD: can you recommend any other autobiographies of amazing women? I’d love to add to my collection!

❝Love makes me do things. Mad things. Bad things. Morally corrupt things. ❞ — Britney King, HER⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Double tap if you've read it. If not, what are you waiting for? Have you seen the open giveaways? You can find them via the highlights in my stories.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"After four, I quit counting. What’s the point if you know it isn’t going to stop?”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sadie is jealous. Why wouldn’t she be? Her life is falling apart. Meanwhile, her new neighbor is everything she is not.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ann is perfect—the kind of woman everyone loves to hate—and a best friend to die for. She hosts over-the-top dinner parties, takes parenting to an entirely different level, and makes ambition look sexy as hell. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sadie learns quick: the best way to cure jealousy is to befriend it. She also learns there’s more to her new friend than meets the eye. She’s patient, she’s kind, and possibly a serial killer.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It isn’t until Ann’s proclivities hit a little too close to home that Sadie has to ask herself how much she’s willing to overlook in the name of getting what she wants.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Exquisitely paced, Her is an unnerving and electrifying psychological thriller about jealousy, passion, and the dangerous places desire can take you. Full of enough tension and twists to make even the most seasoned suspense reader break out in a cold sweat, it keeps you guessing until the very last page.

“District 12: Where you can starve to death in safety.” I really need to reread the hunger games series at some point this year. But, I really shouldn’t be adding so many books on to my tbr list of books I need to read this year. Like, the list is so long cause I’m doing a bunch of re-reads and then reading new books so really my tbr is already overfilling.
I just need to add this series cause it’s one of my favorites and I haven’t read it in quite some time. Honestly, I don’t even remember when I last picked it up! That’s how long it’s been since I’ve last read this series.
Last night, I actually went to bed before one and I was really surprised by that. So I’m gonna try to go to bed around the same time I went last night cause I really need to work on getting my sleep schedule back together so I’m not waking up and missing my online live classes that I have in the morning.
Question: What is your favorite dystopian world that’s been created?
My answer: I have a ton of dystopian worlds that I just LOVE. But I’m going to be good here and only choose two of them. The first being the world of the maze runner. I don’t know why I like that world but I think the concept of living in some type of maze and then doing trials seems kinda cool but at the same time I know I wouldn’t be someone who would survive that. 😂 I also really love the world of THE 100 as well. It’s just something about the idea of being in space for most of your live and then being sent to the ground to see if it’s survivable. Again, though this is another world in which I probably wouldn’t survive. I honestly don’t think I’d survive at all in any of the dystopian worlds that I like. 😂 #thehungergames#novels#booksarelife#bookcommunity#booknerdigan#bookpassion#greatreads#bookobsessed#bookworm#totalbooknerd#bookstagram#alwaysreading#booksofinsta#booksbooksbooks#bookaddict#bookphotography#readersofinstagram#bookaholic#bookish#bibliophile

Available NOW - a stunning new standalone romance from @adriane.leigh.writer, Rebel Saint is live on all platforms! This one sounds incredible, make sure you check it out!
From USA Today Bestselling Author Adriane Leigh, an Edgy, Thornbirds-esque romance with a jaw-dropping twist... She found herself on the steps of St. Michael’s seeking shelter, what she didn’t expect was temptation so sharp and sweet concealed beneath one snow-white collar.
He rescued her from rock bottom, desperate people squeezed together by the desperate cracks of life, but their relationship was never innocent. The thinly-veiled attraction combustible, magnetism so explosive it rattles the very foundations of their belief.
But can their unholy love story withstand the fall?
this video is so funny😂, i loved it so much

I've met a lot of great people and won some amazing prizes since joining this community, so why not throw some good karma into the universe for someone else!
what’s your favorite classic, or classic adaptation?
I hiiighly enjoy contemporary takes on classic books, and this one was no exception! from the very beginning I loved Zuri’s character...her voice and the poems throughout made her really stand out as a protagonist. since this is a Pride and Prejudice remix I expected to fall for the romance, but it ended up being so much more! ✨
Happy Tuesday! I'm weirdly exhausted today, despite the fact that Dougie slept well. Time for tea, and hopefully I will have a productive morning... I seem to have about four books on the go at the moment, they're all very different and I keep changing my mind about what I want to read. Fortunately I have a lot of beautiful bookmarks so I never lose my place - I used to just put a receipt or something to keep my place, but now I love buying bookmarks, and I'm lucky to know so many talented artists who make them. These two were made by @justzoe_withanoceanview25 😊
