I was recently asked - what do you do for work - this is it 🥰💜 I have the absolute privilege of spending my days with two imaginative, curious snd totally spirited little humans - and the best part is we are following an unschooling lifestyle - so the all day fun will continue beyond “school age” . #liveyourbestlife#sahm#gratitude#learningthroughliving
I had some time last month to reflect on my dream and my purpose. My key achievement - I wanted to work #remotely and found a great company that is totally cool with it (instagram takeover happening next week at #jobbatical 😉). My key reflections were:
1. I can get easily distracted by people, the internet and the latest trends. 🙄
2. I work best in quiet environments and within reach of inspiring colleagues (& good coffee).👩🏻💻☕️
3. Daily actions and good decisions accumulate and contribute towards my goals and dreams. 📈🗓
4. Figuring out my legacy has been and will continue to be a faith journey for me.
What about you? What were your key takeaways for 2018? 😃👇🏼 📷 from @unsplash#reflections #2018 #goals#yourjoytribe

IMPROVE THE CRAFT OF COACHING:
Don’t study the craft, DO the craft.
It’s our very last day of our around-the-world trip.
It’s been 13 months and 26 countries. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We’re on our way to the Hanoi airport right now. From there we have a long layover in Tokyo (sleep pods, yay!) then on to see my family before we go home to NYC. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How to describe this feeling? Well, we just finished a cooking class so right now I feel satisfied, a little overstuffed in fact — I’ll need time to digest because I’m just a bit too enthusiastic about trying everything! And that’s what this trip has been like, actually. So much, I need time to digest it all. (So if I seem like I’m avoiding you, don’t take it personally. I’m just taking a breather after 13 months of not stop everything.)
I’m grateful. I’m excited to get back home to our kitty and apartment (and my full wardrobe!) and friends. I’m sad about all the places we didn’t get to see! I’m brimming with ideas and energy for what is next. I’m already missing the friends we made on the road in every country we visited. (Come crash on our couch — you know who you are.) I’m so behind on my work, haha. I’m more in love with my husband than when we left. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s been a good year. An exciting year! But settling back into a routine will be so wonderful, too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s true: wherever you go, there you are. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
More Vietnam photos coming up. Stay tuned. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #ecocultworldtour#illdenworldtour#aroundtheworldtrip

Good morning ☀️ I am absolutely loving this book called the 4 Hour Workweek!! It was recommend by a woman who is sharing her knowledge of marketing, branding...just all kinds of stuff! It’s part of an assignment that I’m doing for my travel business Bootcamp. Anyway this really hit home with me. I’m really good at staying busy but being productive is a totally different thing. I feel like I’m learning so much about myself which in turn allows me to “fix” or tweak how I handle what needs to be done. I’m learning 🤓 #alwayslearning#constantgrowth#beproductive#notbusy#mindset#entrepreneur#fourhourworkweek
I spent a lot of time when she was younger reading through parenting resources and child development books, I probably read about 23 of them. most of the concepts are ingrained in me pretty well, but I'm still reactive and still working through how I was raised and my own expectations.
It can be valuable for children to know that even their parents, whom they view as pillars of strength, can hit a limit of something being too much. But I know that I don't want to resort to yelling, and I also know that yelling doesn't get the result that you would want it to anyway.
I think I need to pull a few books off the shelf again and refresh my toolbox. I parent very differently from how I was raised, and that's okay. But because it's so different, it doesn't come as naturally to me. I have to work harder at it.
We don't spank, we don't do time out. We talk through situations, we validate, we hold boundaries-- it's not permissive, she doesn't get to do whatever she wants, but I respect her and treat her as a whole person.
And still, I'm human, and I snap sometimes. Especially under stress, lack of good sleep, and other factors. When you rupture, you repair. You have grace for yourself, and you hold on to the experience as a reminder how to act differently moving forward.
I wanted to share all of this this morning. When something dramatic happens, it's good to think on it and reflect. And I can always use more reminding that there is more learning to do, and I have to continually change to keep up with how she is changing and growing.
Parenting is rife with growth, all around.
Every human being has looked for love since birth. Many have become jaded, cynical, and bitter because they haven't found it. Should we just give up? Is it a mere myth, like the tooth fairy or Santa Claus? Or is there a reality behind our universal longing? Join me on my Live Show as we explore this deep topic together.
Here are the details.

So I’ve committed to this new challenge 🔥🔥🔥 EVERYday is different. There is sweat involved and you may be sore 😝😝 BUT It has a focus on teaching us to really tackle our beliefs, with names like Faster, Stronger and Powerful, etc...
Is this hard, of course....but I’ve done many hard things in life and will keep at it - everyday I’m grateful that I can do any of what I’m doing. To move, to eat, to choose, to take actions! 🔥🔥🔥
Do you believe in yourself? And what actions are you choosing today to make you stronger?
10 year challenge. 26 to 36... my hair is a better colour anyway 🤣 in all seriousness feeling way better 10 years on, body better shape happier with myself not just physically but mentally. Shame we cannot stop time in the moment we want it to stay. #life#10yearchallenge#alwayschanging#evole#alwayslearning
