Self-care is more than bubble baths, massages or shopping sprees. Sometimes it’s purposely avoiding people who conveniently dangle their presence when they need/want you. And being unapologetic about it, too. Happy Thursday!
When I first started building websites, I created proposals I was not very confident in. I was guessing what I should ask clients to invest. I was unsure how much time my projects were going to take. ⏲️ It wasn't until I took a step back that I started to understand there was a systematic way I could build a proposal and estimate an investment, and be confident it was accurate.
I stopped asking clients what they wanted, and started getting to know their business and their goals. From that conversation, I built a website outline. A website outline is: what the pages on the website are, the hierarchy, and how the pages relate to one another. Before, clients wouldn't be thinking of the complexity of their business, and wouldn’t give me enough information to make a good outline. -
I realized I should ask more about who they served, and what they did, so I could build an outline that was truly representative of their business. They thought I was a magician! 🎩 🐇 I took what they said and organized the complexity of their business in a very straightforward, simple outline. It really helped me eliminate problems down the line.
I got more projects because I was giving clients a clear vision of what was going to be built for them. My competitors were not doing great at that, and clients weren't sure they were going to get their desired results. With me, they got a very clear understanding of exactly what they’d be getting. 👑
If you're having any trouble pricing the investment for a website, just follow these steps: ask about the business, dissect what the business does, and then translate that into a website outline you can share with the owner. When you do that, you're absolutely going to close a lot more sales. 🤑🤑
I had the pleasure of associating with several of the masterminds behind foresters and it makes me proud to represent their brand. Heavy on giving back to the communities. Their policies have built in benefits that I KNOW would have a LIFE CHANGING IMPACT on any family. If you have a family consider this, what if we could push the done button on protecting the home you worked hard to provide your family with for less than a pair of jeans or trip to the movies? What if that decision led to all of your children having access to $8,000 per year in scholarships and a $900 per month per child orphan fund ready for who ever it is that would have to step in during an almost unthinkable event? What if they do end up orphaned and because of that hardship they have access to up to $24k in scholarships? There are very few things that we know will occur with 100% certainty, it’s just the how that we do not know. Let’s make a plan together on how to act on this now from a position of strength and confidence rather than leaving those behind to make decisions from a position of fear and uncertainty. Share this with someone you care about and help protect a family today all consultations and portfolio reviews are free!
Happy birthday to my legendary and prolific brother @killermike. Thank you for being you, for bringing @kingbykween into my life and for continuing to push the culture and conversation further! Forever in your corner, my brother!

Most of you aren’t cut out for this 🤦🏻♂️ Trying to scale a business isn’t easy.
You see the trips around the world, the conferences, the cool collaborations, the invoices rolling in…
But you forget that this is just the surface level.
Social media makes most peoples lives look 10,000 times more impressive than they actually are 🤭
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining.
I have a great life.
But I work hard.
Most of you couldn’t handle the:
⛔️06:00AM business development calls
⛔️Payment processors putting a hold on thousands of euros of your money for 'additional security checks’
⛔️Learning how to manage people effectively
⛔️Hiring new team members
⛔️The responsibility of spending six figures worth of clients dollars
⛔️Working instead of watching the latest GOT episode
I could go on forever…. But I think you get the idea 😉
I try and keep things real on my channels.
But I know some of you think I’m living a life much bigger and more exciting than it really is.
Trust me, the grind is real👊🏻 This one is for all of you out there putting in the WORK now so that you can reap the rewards in the future, I salute you👍🏻 And so does your future self.
Who’s with me?

Been learning this valuable lesson lately and via more than one situation. And I think the message - of it’s greater than one person or emotion - is so crucial to making sure we’re not weighted to our feelings, or a let-down or even the moment we’re currently in. Sometimes the best thing to do is let folks be. Make peace. Keep it G while making Gs. Selah. Signed, #TheBrokeEntrepreneur 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

So yesterday I told my husband it was a Tori day and I was going to do all the things to take care of myself. I got my hair done, spent time by myself, and did some of my favorite pampering activities. I’ve been dedicating so much time to build my business I forgot to take a moment for my body and mind to relax too. So I’m implementing self care rituals into my schedule to help me keep it a regular thing. What are some of the things you do to relax or pamper yourself?

I appreciate how @garyvee is posting a bit more detailed business learnings on LinkedIn. ⠀
Here's a chart he posted that I like.⠀
Long story short:⠀
His take is that CEOs should be close to the customer and that the company can run itself (because you've created a nice machine). That way the CEO can get realtime data to help inform how the company should evolve. ⠀
This is in contrast to the traditional way of a CEO being insulated and not close to customers as a company grows.⠀
I tend to agree with @garyvee and that's historically how I've thought about business and operated as a CEO. I've always been very close to the market because tasting that helps inform the direction of the company, product, service, etc.⠀
I at times even felt bad about this like "I wasn't being a CEO" because I was still very close to the front lines, but it just felt right. ⠀
The only issue I have come across with this is that then the company becomes very CEO dependent. In which case you haven't fully built a machine that can run without you. ⠀
But I think that's a personal choice. ⠀
Do you want to build a company that can run without you or do you want to be the driving force? Perhaps that answer can also change over the lifetime of your company as well - it did for me at least.⠀
What do you think?⠀

This is what cheap "guaranteed Google page 1 rankings" really looks like.😂
But seriously, any business that uses these types of amateur hour services is not only getting scammed, but they're also putting their company's entire online marketing campaign in serious risk of being destroyed - sometimes beyond repair unfortunately.
If you want real results and real, measurable ROI on your marketing dollars, let the pros get to work 😎 (and yes, we back our services by a REAL guarantee 👍👍)

What's better than coffee in the morning? A cup of greats news (it sounded better in our head).
Bad copy aside, we're very pleased to announce we're SME Business Awards finalists in TWO categories.
