Due to shortages of food in the home country, these Eritrean Afars are on the 6 days journey across Danakil Desert, one of the most inhospitable place on Earth with daytime temperatures surpassing 50 °C. In the nearby Ethiopia they will be able to buy basic nourishment and feed their families. #danakildepression#danakildesert#afar#ethiopia

This is the road to the Lake Assale in Danakil Desert, the road to adventure. But the truth is any road leads to adventure. Adventure is the Rome of traveling, the unknown future where all perfect itineraries lead to! What is your next Rome?

Seeing castles from above is my new passion. Our friend Urte from @tinggly told us one of the legends of the castle - a princess who had lived by the sea but wouldn't marry the King unless he could make sure she lived by water so he made a lake around Trakai Castle for her to enjoy. A keeper for sure!
